That's a pretty good summary, anon. Props for effort.

I still really like the way the author handles Goro's survival in this series. A lot of people use amnesia as an excuse to basically wave off a character's crimes, but here Goro still has to deal with with the consequences and guilt for his actions and it affects his thoughts and behavior until the end, even if he doesn't have to deal with any legal punishment due to lack of evidence and he doesn't remember everything himself.

I wouldn't mind if Atlus went with a similar approach if they bring him back.

No. When you go to fire a gun it shows how much ammo there is. You cannot reload in a dungeon, you have to leave and come back. Doing Shinya's co-op will increase your ammo and provide other gun skills.

Keep playing, you'll get that ability soon. When Morgana teaches you how to do that, you just press circle near a wall/corner.

Enemy awareness. If an enemy sees you, or you run from an encounter, it goes up. The higher it is, the better the enemies' eyesight, and faster their respawn rate. It goes down whenever you successfully win a battle.
If it gets to 100% it's deemed to dangerous to stay there and you get booted out of the dungeon for the day. You'll almost certainly never have this happen unless you go out of your way to try.

Sojiro's co-op lets you make SP restoring items, but the best way to get SP back is to do Tae's co-op, and buy the SP recovering accessories from her. The biggest one of those gives you back 7SP every turn. They're costly, but you can make a tonne of dosh through asking for money in negotiations, which you can get an upgrade for that lets you ask for even more money from Toranosuke's co-op.

rather than any specific plot device, all you really need is some kind of catharsis for the character to build up to while they grapple emotionally. sort of like the vision of christ scene in bad lieutenant, if you've ever seen that. the whole structure of that film is a great example of a redemptive arc i think, especially since it doesn't get caught up in having harvey keitel's character try to make amends for any specific previous wrongdoing, but focuses on his despair and the general emotional aspect of a redemption (probably because it's catholic as fuck, but the general approach still applies)

Yeah. People are also forgetting that while P5 takes modern society and culture into consideration, the game is still eight years in the making. Last four were probably the most intense from the standpoint of solidifying the narrative. P5 perfected their formula, but there's only so far they can get by staying safe. The next installment of Persona, however long it'll take, should probably incorporate fresher ideas if it wants to stay relevant instead of rehashing the same tropes and archetypes.

Persona games are too story-based and a lot of stuff revolve around the protagonist being who he is. FeMC sure had better S.Links and shit, but she didn't fit P3 at all. And the fact that the story was made for MC made her character very incongruent. She would kill for you in your S.Link, but don't expect her to move a finger to help remove the tension between her teammates.

I think Persona is the kind of game that should have a single protagonist, whatever the gender. And if they want to add a let you choose, I would rather have it be a random remake like P3P, when it doesn't matter anymore.
