I's not like I was going to get above stage one on most teams for either anyway so this'll be interesting, and Orbs has always been the lowest priority of the 5 core sockets since it's still luck based.

It doesn't matter whether it's static or not. It's pretty simply for me, getting a bad orb can be a complete ruin to the run, and decreasing your chances for that is great. Here is where opinion comes in, but I for one do notice the difference and it has allowed me to do forests where DR doesn't come in at all.
And for raids and Colo well whether you take DR and orbs you're gonna be doing it anyway because they're not gonna be helping that much, although DR will definitely make it easier. There's just too many runs I've done that have been ruined due to bad orbs, and reducing that as much as possible is good in my eyes.

Autoheal is better in every regards in term of negating damage over a run. Even on WB/Croc teams you wouldn't want max autoheal though. (Autoheal can prevent percentile death reprisals like raid boa)

Level 5 auto heal also lets you use WB ship on teams without a HP boosting ship

Sure, Orbs are RNG, it also negates bad RNG which can cause you to not get to a point where you use orb manipulators. Or in Forests where you may have to deal with back to back instances of needing good orb rolls for clearing a round.

Wrong. Over the course of a stage you're gonna be taking for a lot of hits, specially on Colo where fodder hit for 7k each. DR is pretty damn useful here since you'll be reducing a lot of damage if you add it up together, and along with Auto-heal it means you end up reaching the boss stage with more HP than you would've.
Being able to tank an extra fodder hit through cumulative damage reducing can mean getting your special up, and not, which means actually doing the level and not.

first of all, if you are running a forest team, and you don't have a single orb socket on your team, you will use a FRIEND CAPTAIN, who HAS ONE

level 1 orbs can be useful, there is no argument about that, especially in forest

however, getting more than 1 point is a complete WASTE, since the scaling is abysmal

The first four turn, he deals those damage : 203818+183534+203051+367720 = 958 123
Then Mihawk cut's his current hp by 30% : 590 259, which means that the current hp at this time was 1 967 530.
Add the first 958 123 that he dealt during the 4 turns and you get his hp : 2 925 622.
I also remember them being wrong for Aokiji stage 3 fodders stats.

Getting hp for a boss is easy as fuck, just use mihawk turn 1 and you know their max hp, somehow even that is too hard for the chinks, I would not trust them on their numbers.

Captain Rayleigh, I'd have to give up CDR on him so pass
I use Killer or Eneru as my main Qck beatstick. I gave Eneru heal/bind/despair and Killer isn't easily socketed until his colo comes out, so not there
My Dex is either Mihawk or Doffy so no there
My Str is Arlong so no, but if I needed sockets I could sub in literally anyone, but Thatch isn't easily socketed, RR Franky is but he won't take DR anyway, I can't imagine who I would fill that slot
And obviously Psy is GPU for general use. Speed Running I'll probably be replacing him with Tesoro

It's just harder Colo. Instead of 2 bosses in a row, the hardest difficulty which is 50stam has 3, and of course only the last boss drops, which is a way better unit compared to other Colo.
So, just harder content for a better unit, but same premise.

If you have at least 120 stamina, gemming isn't all that bad. You probably average 5 copies per 8 runs, plus a ton of XP. Shame that the skillbooks suck.

I've paid a bit over $1,000 total on the game so far. 450 days played.
Haven't put money into the game in the last 150+ days though. It got slightly out of hand. I like farming and maxing units and this is the only time I've wanted gems for something badly.
Their Sugo and Tesoro combo truly fucked me over for Boa gemwise.
