Luckily I got an extra INT orb on Slasherdile the turn after using his special so I just barely managed to kill him before he got his attack off. At least 40 stam is a lot easier to stall for Sunny on round 4.

Speed depends a bit on orb luck though.
Stage 1 and 2 are almost always 1 turn kill even without good orbs (a lot of yellow orbs mean 2 turns for stage 2 though). Stage 3 is 2 or 3 turn depending on orb luck. Stage 4 is 2 to 4 turn depending on orb luck.

In the end the fastest I got was 2 minutes, with terrible orbs lucks it goes up to 2:30

If you are willing to design your teams around DR, then yes it is worth it. If not,2% damage reduction is incredibly low and not worth socketing for. Orbs aren't amazingly worth, only really good for Fortnights, since for Raids/Colis, you'll usually have an orb manipulator and when youre doing rounds 1-4, you shouldnt be running a team where more orb luck would benefit you.

In general, DR > Orbs for the same reason. You dont socket for fortnights, and you dont make teams where orbs are needed.
