His combos aren't that long and the ones that are are used for finishing people off because of how guts work. Those also charge the opponent's burst super fast though so something to keep in mind.
His strength is mobility (capability to punish almost anything especially with YRC teleport) and crossups/mixups. His corner oki is very hard to block. You have to be unpredictable with your teleports though otherwise the match can end with one CH 2HS.

I'm a pot player so my tips are purely based on my MU experience.

But really you're in luck if you want to learn Chipp for there are several really strong ones to learn from: Samitto, E.T., Endou, even Chappu is pretty good now.

Me, I only buy a small number of fightan games every generation so I have some to throw on when my friends are over or if my younger siblings want to play.
For the Seventh Gen, literally all I bought was MVC3, JJBA:ASB,SFIV, and P4AU - and two of them I only picked up because I am a fan of the weebshit they're based on.

And I'm planning to pick up Sm4sh for the Switch and maybe Tekken 7 as well. Should be good for the rest of the gen after that unless a new Persona game or non-shitty Jojo one comes out.
Besides that I've got MAME and Fightcade good to go on my laptop as well for the rare occasions where I feel like playing older stuff or on my own.

I'm perfectly happy like this, honestly. Yeah I'm kind of a shitter and all, but I still have plenty of fun like this even without picking up more than a fraction of releases and putting maybe two or three dozen hours into each game at most.
