Crit Damage is easier to get and is much more consistent compared to maxatk gems if you are full dex.

I have 800 crit rate self buffed, 725-760 atk, 1109 crit attack and my autos crit for 1900 99.9% of the time on lvl 319 mobs with 500 def.

Only reason Phada is better than Gladiator Band is the fact that you get more m.def right? Because that's literally it.

You could argue Phada is cheaper to make, but 45 dawn fragments or 360 helmets are both fucking hours of endless grind.

Gladiator band:

Yes, Sissel is the best because crit rate memes but considering Gale Slaher has 0 fucking AoE attack (only 2H sword in the game like this) you have to get AoE from somewhere else. Can't use Vubbe gloves myself since doppel needs demonas on most of the time (and they give nice CON) so my options are limited.

What about making Light Plate set and putting in 4x level 6 red gems for health? That's 1+ AoE and as a Dop the armor makes no difference since you run around with 0.

Only other options are Shade gear, but they have only 1 socket.

the break numbers are 5 = 3 medium targets
7 = 4 (my favorite)

vubbe + light plate set = 7 already and you're good to go

It's decent for what it does. Cata has 2 variations but that build you listed is the only "on foot" dragoon build out there unless you want to replace pelt with something shittier like sword 2 for stun memes and doppel for corsair memes for pvp.

Best Cata PvP build I've seen is:

Sword 3 > Cata 3 > Doppel > Lancer

Best Cata PvE for Cata is

Sword > Pelt > Hop > Cata 3 > Dragoon 2

The PvE one provides easy evasion (stacks with pet evasion bonus) and easy crit rate (70 with zega spear, 80 with divine might) and easy AoE with Finestra. Just weapon swap out of Zega spear.

The lancer one focuses on PvP but also has very good burst. Nothing close to what Dethrone is but still very fucking deadly and is pretty much a Cleric killer in PvP unless the other team has Kabbalist / Diev cancer.

This is the day, everyone. I am quitting Tree of Savior. As of today, Cats will be leading Futureproof.

Tomorrow's meetup in Entrance to Kateen Forest will be my last day as an active player. I've been playing with you all and posting here on /tosg/ since the days before iCBT2. I was awake at 4 AM to try and get a headstart on it, and I played every single day, despite making characters with awful builds that barely carried their own weight.

I was also there for the kOBT preview and for the kOBT launch. We played together with koreans and found out how nice and comfy they were. We started the first big wars in the game and came out on top. The koreans like us and since we never stepped into each other's foots they waved us goodbye when iTOS launched.

Unfortunately I wasn't here for iTOS' EA launch because of my fucked up laptop but I did join eventually and we made Futureproof, albeit a little after some of the other guilds. Right now, we're one of the oldest guilds in the servers. /tosg/ has always been one of the largest factions playing Tree of Savior, and Futureproof was always in the middle of it. Fighting with and alongside all of you all has been the most fun I've had in a very long time, I'll never forget all of you.

Are swordsmen the only class where building around the end level classes is mandatory? Like everything is going for Fencer, Murm, Doppel, or maybe Dragoon/Lancer. There's no Wugushi or Fletcher or Diev or Kivis or Pyro or Ele of Swordsmen, is there? No middle ground class you can build around, that is. Everything is just rushing right towards the end for them.

People pick end classes anyway, but you could at least feasibly make a build that doesn't include rank 7 or 8 or circle 3 R6 classes for the other ones, and the ones you did pick would be supporting your lower ones, rather than your lower ones being all utility. .

Fletcher is literally a R7 class, it's worthless until then, it's not a middle ground class.

Wugushi is a dead end, it doesn't scale well, its attribute doesn't work, it deals shit damage R7+.

Pyro and Ele are both dead. Ele had a single decent skill at R6, the rest are trash not even worth mentioning. Pyro is shit, Agni necklace doesn't save it from being garbage.

Krivis is complete shit being propped up by Taoist, but still can't come close to competing with Swordsman DPS.

Diev isn't even a fucking choice, there's not a single class in the game that can compete with fucking invincibility for a long ass time. It's something you put in every single Cleric build, or you don't bother playing Cleric.

The reason for me quitting is mostly because I've lost hope of the game improving. The current state of the game is that of stagnation: There's nothing to do and everything is bugged or broken in some way or another. Unlike before, there's no Rank8 to look forward to or to prepare for, so I decided to call it quits here. There's actually a lot more to that but I'd be preaching to the wrong crowd here, you all know the game's problems as much as I do. I only IMC hadn't removed everything worthwhile about the game, abandoned all the coolest concepts they had envisioned, and turned the game into a gacha slot machine, I'd have stuck around for many many years.

That's what I'm going for, but I'm in R7 atm. It's pretty good. With gae bulg, spear lunge and serpentine's debuff, you're able to deal a huge amount of damage with dethrone.

While client bugs are accurate (not that there aren't custom clients for the game we're using for an example right now) the "bad design" can absolutely be fixed by private servers. Custom items are not difficult to create, just take time and a mind for balance (a notoriously rare thing for private servers, but yeah.)

Everything else depends on the server. Things like Dethrone's PVP damage, queues not guaranteeing at least one cleric, etc are all able to be fixed by just changing the code in place for that function. The design team will have to make queueing on the server a thing, why are you implying they can't control how it works?

It had so much potential but Loli is right there is little hope of the game realizing its potential due to poor balance, bugs, and asinine Korean Gacha+daily design being at the core of the game. Before we could believe it would get better but they have doubled down on those decisions; it's not just doing 200 dungeon rush anymore, now it's 290 rush and your missions for cards and don't forget your timed bosses for card fodder and your Saalus too. And once you've got a character that can do all that the only way to make more progress is to make a new character to do that some more, and it never ends because this game has endless silver sinks by design.
