His armies were kicking nordling ass and eventually all the world would be under the golden sun. Also why did sapowski set up ciri as his daughter and her son and so on down the bloodline as a plot but in a throwaway history note between chapters, describe the emperor after emhyr and the one following him? It's a small touch but it does shoot his plot in the foot if you're paying attention.

Also, he was losing the war against the NR. For the third time.

Finally, finally got the sad ending with Ciri not returning (& I don't see her as dead - I'd much rather see Geralt believing she is dead, but also living with the somehow even worse alternative that she just chose not to return/could not return).

I love it!

Dijkstra became chancellor (should have let Radovid win to make it even more believable), no romance, thaler and roche dead, keira and lambert alive (again, should have let this run differently) but gone to the seven winds as is Eskel.

And the Crone's daunts actually work now - Geralt's a changed man, alone, somehow survived the swamp (because game mechanics, right) and is now confronting the devil and the man with no heart.

Sort of redeems the horrible 3rd act, desu. The sort of deep despair and drama and nostalgia and regret. Stronger emotions than happiness over the saccharine ending.

I think that deck is lacking raw power.
Scoiatel could destroy you pretty easily.
Basic NR units + Promote would be on same power level as almost anything you can put on the table + you wouldn't be able to damage them.

Sarah and the Frost giant can bring some strength, but I imagine they get scorched or get an Igni to the face pretty quickly.

But if it works, go for it.

btw: If I were to replace anything, I'd swap Caranthir.
He is good and all, but you already have 2 frosts there and potentially, the Leshen is better than him. BUT, melee units are more common...

Perhaps swapping Caranthir for some other gold card you want, then either the WH warrior or a griffin for another frost?

Recently started playing TW3. So far, extremely disappointed, but I'm powering through it to finish the trilogy.

Perhaps there are mods to fix all the crap, though? Geralt being unable to go down stairs without tripping, for example, or getting stuck when jumping, unable to do anything without reloading, and other related bugs like being knocked out of combat, forcing you to take another hit to the face since you can't dodge, block or cast signs when out of combat.

Obviously there's no way to fix geralt's lobotomy unfortunately.

Maybe there's a way to kill all the consolization crap, though?

Just ordered parts for my first build since 2010 and eager to jump directly into TW3 after doing three playthroughs on the PS4. Is there an unofficial bugfix patch, like for many PC games? deck building is a ton of fun. you find yourself making adjustments after every match until you feel you've min maxed it. and then you get new cards and continue to process of min maxing. i enjoy that game loop a lot.

there's four things that determine your win over your opponent: outplaying them, out building them, progression (or p2w), RNG. there's a number of cards that minimize your RNG too.

it's a very fun grind desu. I have no plans to ever spend a cent and I'm enjoying myself.

My skellige i've been running dbomb and clear sky, but have been seriously considering swapping it out for something else.

Monster weather is so underpowered compared to the field that no one plays it, its NR roach and ST, that the improved match up isn't needed anymore. The rare times I do come up against monster are easy wins atleast, and its easy to discard clear skys most of the time when I dont need it, but I really think that just d bomb is enough.
