It works well with mercy when you think about it. You really need to deter flankers from finding the generator, and it works best when the team can hold for longer periods of time which seems to be what blizzard wants because they keep buffing survivability over damage.

75 hp regenerating over time may not be much for tanks, but for DPS and supports that's a big chunk of HP there.

Assuming blizzard ever moves the story that far, there is no way anyone in the cast will be the real villain. Sombra, Reaper, Widow, junkers will all be redeemed to some extend. The mm is way better than quickplay, there are no rewards from it and yet people are still fucking around. So you have people who think QP is Comp Lite. You have people who thnik QP is for playing heroes you don't normally play regardless of team comp and you have people who think QP is for practicing heroes in a viable comp.

Same exact shit is going on with Off Season. People think wins don't matter so fuck it, others think its a chance to practice without threat of entering a losing streak.

Now that we have Arcade for retarded meme shit Blizz should either outright state that QP is now the Comp Practice queue or rename it something along those lines.

WarCraft: The Orcs are a cool, bad guy race, then down the line you discover the Burning Legion and you have to team up with some Orcs to fight them.

Overwatch is no different. Here's the bad guys. They're edgy. They're cool. You can play at them. Here's some videos / comics / lore hinting at a second, shadowy force that's the *true* evil.

Hell, drill down on an individual character level. Here's Sarah Kerrigan. She's a caring, hot sniper lady who gets captured by the bad guys and brainwashed. Later, she's redeemed by the good guys.

Here's Sylvanas Windrunner. She's a caring, hot archer lady who gets captured by the bad guys and brainwashed (turned into a banshee). She's not redeemed per se, but teams up with the good guys now and again.

Here's Widowmaker. She's a caring, hot sniper lady. She gets captured and brainwashed by the bad guys. Where is this story arc going?

Blizzard only has one script. They just dress it up real nice every time.

Yeah, a Zen's orb that doesn't heal until you're using your LMB, and using healing beam on them doesn't stack the two. Have it be broken by LOS to avoid invincible Gengus.

Mercy doesn't excel as a main healer because no AoE healing (she can triage with her high hps but it's inefficient), but she also isn't a great co-healer because no utility.

She was a must pick in almost every comp even when Ana as considered a troll pick. They overbuffed Ana and then nerfed the fuck out of Mercy. It's just retarded that blizzard has to delete certain heroes from their respective roles through patches. Mercy should be the strongest healer as she can't do anything else followed by Ana. She was a must pick purely because of her Ult, though. Then she was a must pick because of crazy 50% damage amp combo with Cree on the PTR, if that counts.

Soon as her Ult charge rate got reduced, that was pretty much it. The same patch saw overbuffed Zen and he replaced her almost immediately. Discord's nerf made Ana soar, and not even a 20% buff to her healing helped. This recent buff feels more like a QoL change than a buff, too.

Oh well. Good thing I enjoy playing three out of four healers.

Skill ranges, my guess.

Mercy is who you pick when you don't have a lot of experience and still want to be a good healer for the skill range you're in. Kind of like with Bastion. It's a shame for those who legitimately enjoy those low skill floor heroes but still want to perform at higher levels.

So this guy only played Torbjorn in competitive and got this rank with a 46% win rate.
How does the skill rating system -actually- work? I know some people said it's more based on individual skill than wins and losses. But having this win rate on Torbjorn doesn't seem an indication for almost getting Grand Master rank.

Does this mean I should just start playing Torb only in comp because it will give you relatively many points when you win? I played him a couple rounds and got like 20 per loss and 27-35 per win, didn't seem to make a lot of sense to me. System seems broken.

the elemental effect buff that stacked up and made her shoot super fast and not consume ammo

they can do it just like ana where after a hit it ticks 3 more times only for athena the tick damage is a lot lower, she fires fast like an smg and these tiny dots stack

i cant come up with a good second active ability so maybe toggling between elements like lucio does between song, for example fire gives you less spread and the dot damage is the most, lightning debuffs enemies to take a bit more damage, frost slows but it capped so its only a bit of a slow

ultimate can be the elemental storm where she slams down into the ground and creates an area smaller than blizzard that puts all the different elemental ticks on and if more damage is needed a damage tick too which can be used to alter the strength

Today I decided to venture into genji today and spent about a good 5-6 hours on him, some games I would wreck the enemy team, some not so much which is understandable. However I found one thing that usually destroyed me. His reload time.

His reload time is by far the slowest of all the heros. I would would be in the middle of a fight and die repeatedly due to him having that one extra animation time to put the damn things in his hand. As well as his dash seems a little long to wait for as well, however you do get another one after a kill instantly. I feel a second off it would defiantly help him. They made this big whooo about the cyborg ninja and everyone's dreams came true. Then they just kept nerfing him in almost every patch for 4-5 months straight.

There are amazing genji players out there, however how is it that symmetra who I find extremely OP already is getting a major buff and everyone's favorite ninja is in the gutters.

Hell even Ana is easier to play and she is a 3 star difficulty WITH NO MOBILITY.

Idk it might just be me but I feel genji needs a small buff.

This is the same guy who plays Torbjorn. You see when his win rate goes slightly back up, but it's still below the original value because he lost more than he won. Seriously nerf Roadhog and Junkrat.

Both of them have even less of a skill requirement than Bastion and both of them have less counterplay. At least with Bastion he is rooted in place, unlike Junkrat that spams nonstop bombs all game long and then uses his ult and magically gets a POTG.

Ignoring the face roadhog tanks absolutely everything and 1 shots anything with less than 250 health (AKA all supports, snipers, and attackers).

If I solo as Reinhardt, it's perfectly fine to keep my shield up at all times and peek chokes and if I were to play in a 6 stack, I should be more aggressive, as my coordinated supports help me with my charges.

Essentially this is a prisoner's dilemma in solo queuing, if I play defensively because other shitters won't support me, I lose. If I charge in because that's the good play, but shitters who aren't in team voice chat don't support me, I lose.

So what is the "right" way to play tank if you solo? According to him, there isn't one.

Good players generally can tell certain queues without comms, such as everyone gathering together on attack means you're all ready to make another push. A Winston hopping is a signal for Zarya to bubble him. A 76 with tac visor up pressing Z on high ground is a signal for Ana to boost him, and so on.

You will get shitters who aren't in voice chat when solo queueing, yeah. You can't really do anything about it besides adapting and playing more safely. I don't nanoboost people who don't communicate proactively, for example. I wait for the 76 to start Ulting, then I boost him if I see the situation is favourable to a 76 Ult. With comms, the 76 will let me know when he wants the Ult and I will trust him.

You basically have to read your teammates skill and behaviour and make plays "on their level."

I played him a lot in Junkenstein's Revenge. Once I warmed up, I'd have 60%+ accuracy, 20% critical hits. I still almost never play him in regular games, but I've won every QP game with him since. It's probably just a matter of practice. You could probably do the same with a custom game.

That all said, the most important thing for playing a new hero is to learn when to play them and when not to play him.

zenyatta is projectile that shits wonky af since it depends per character what the projectile properties are and you dont get good feedback

i suggest playing your next 5 levels as hitscan only characters
make sure you dont fall for any noob traps like having mouse accel on and high dpi, having too high sens generally isnt useful either

Ironically, on first point attack. Sonic arrow is useful for probing choke points, and his picks have their highest value when the enemy has spawn disadvantage. Pair with Zarya, switch after Dragonstrike wombo.

Thats a really shitty advice. We have enough of those hanzos who just spam in the general direction of enemies. The only thing you need to be a good hanzo is a good aim, and that is really hard to achieve.
