Using castle battles for supports is grinding. If you still want to do it, just do the battles; you won't get any EXP from it but you will get support points, so just pair up the units you want to get together and let them fight some enemies, especially since they can't die.

He just has a jav/iron lance and takes no damage and holds every choke perfectly. The problem is she is now level 17 and my other team is around 10-12 (with a couple a bit higher). I'm worried that I'm letting too much experience go to waste, but no other units can reliably hold a choke (or take more than 2 attacks without risking death).

Only using a couple units isn't a terrible idea, it's better than spreading your EXP too thin. That being said, you should probably find a couple more units that do different things or else you'll be in a lot of trouble come endgame. Don't try to keep everybody at an even level, just find a 'core' team of units that is roughly what you're allowed to bring into every level, make sure they're diverse enough to do what you need them to do, and focus on them. If you don't think you're going to use a unit or one isn't keeping up, there's no problem with just benching them forever (until you start not having enough units to deploy each chapter).

the first few levels are the hardest by far, and taking def as robins asset is close to mandatory

I'm trying to think of some skills for my hack. Already have armored blow, warding blow, pragmatic, wrath, resolve, and chivalry done and am starting to import some others like Trample/Hunter (aka opposite of Trample).

Anyone have any ideas for simple battle skills that don't involve activation, like pierce, or unit proximity, like charm? I have 7-10 more I think I can add.

Also you can technically do the Lunatic feeding strategy in the prologue with any asset/flaw, but +Spd (or Def on regular Lunatic)/-Skl FeMU is the preferred one for a good number of reasons

If you're going to use Cordelia then you need to have her fly around in Chapter 8 a lot and scoop as many kills as she can (it's not too hard, considering pretty much everything gets slowed down by Desert except for the Dark Mages which she ORKOs at a base) and get her into Merc by Chapter 10

The Cordelia route is a little harder since she can't support with Chrom, making DSing with him against Grima unreliable, what I can see working in this case is S-rank Chrom/Sully and using Bow Knight Kjelle with Lucina to hit Grima instead (Cordelia can still chip)
