I know I'm a bit late in responding to this but just for future reference for fellow anonbro invaders: if you carry around a chime (you don't even have to meet the chime's requirements, just the miracle's) you can basically use embers for free heals as long as you can get some space away from host/phantoms to use it. Works as long as you have FP so you should probably bring at least 1 ashen estus with you to invasions.

So I mean if you're totally out of heals at least, it might really save your ass. For reference, Caressing Tears is the lowest FP using miracle and Heal Aid has the lowest faith requirement. Heal Aid is probably the way to go if you don't want to invest any points into faith.

Is lightning weapon a significant upgrade over blessed weapon? I'm mostly wondering about the stat increase, I'm at 20 faith.

They do different things, Anon.

It's entirely different, Blessed weapon is a %AR increase and doesn't scale with stats, deals more to skeles. Lightning is a flat lightning damage bonus per hit, subject to split defences which scales with your faith and catalyst upgrade level.

Aside from skeles, Blessed should only be better on a large weapon when your spellbuff is low.

A decent number of people don't like it. The level design and art direction suffers, and there are too many bosses. The good bosses are lost in a sea of mediocrity. The mechanics are really good but it lacks the flair of DS3 or DS1. I like it a lot myself but I can see why someone just couldn't get into it.

Brume Tower was my favourite from the DLC and aesthetically it was pretty great but the actual flow and enemy placement seemed pretty shitty, especially where the bosses were in the grand scheme of things. I wish we'd have started at the bottom and fought our way up.

Really I think it's just the aesthetics and not being channelled through something like pic related that I enjoyed.

People that point down after a solid/non-meta/fair duel: what's your story?

I'd just like to know what is going through your head when you do it. Of course you're entitled to use whatever gesture you want after a fight. Hell, if there were a "middle finger" gesture, I'd expect it to get frequent use; but for scummy wins and cheap tactics, not for genuinely enjoyable and good-natured fights.

Are you upset I'm not running a build identical to yours? Are you offended that I actually took away most of your health? Are you legitimately out to passive aggressively rub salt in a wound? Let me know, cause y'all fascinate me.

I won't even disclose the amount of salty mail I've gotten from people that BEAT me (Yes. They won, and felt the need to message me about it). But the content ranges from homophobic epithets, assaults on my integrity as a gamer, and of course unprovoked/unwanted advice on how to play the game "properly."

Seems no matter what weapon/build I run, I am a magnet for this kind of behavior.

What I dislike about lot of the design fluff that was in the DaS2 DLC was that they stuck too much to their designated main themes, them being poison, ice and fire. Theme aside, I felt the lore was rather weak also. Sir Alonne and Fume Knight, Rebel Raime that is, were the most notable connections to the base game, rest of the DLC being pretty much closed ecosystems.

DaS1 DLC was a timewarp, sure that's kinda cheesy, but there was lot of lore into them, explaining the dark, whatever happened to Artorias, who is Ciaran and Gough, continuation to Dusk's story.

Ashes of Ariandel had a bit of complexity to it that it had some subthemes of rot, dark and hollowing. It was also mostly lore disconnected from the main game and I'm afraid the trend is going to continue. Predicting a lightning themed DLC with subthemes of faith, snakes and bleeding with highly disconnected lore is as good as any.

Ashes of Ariandel is repackaged BB shit that is genuinely disconnected from the base game. You don't even have motivation to go there lol - the chick points out that you can fuck off at any time and go do your own shit, whether the painting rots or burns has nothing to do with your own quest.
The second DLC has to be related to the Dark Soul of Man, unless they're actually faggy enough to end the plotline without seeing the new painted world you helped create or knowing if the fucking the old ass man who sent you in found the dark soul.
Also it's the last Dark Souls dlc so I imagine it's going to show up.

I've gotten the warning for just using the itemswap to give myself weapons and upgrade materials. If you care about getting banned I wouldn't do it. I've stopped giving a fuck and I've been getting the warning for a couple weeks now without being banned.

I just checked now and the message is gone, lol. I think the thing that flagged me was having lots of souls items/slabs in my inventory, now that they're gone/used it seems to think I'm legit.

If you have a friend that plays, or if you want to try your luck here, you can get someone to back up their save, upgrade/drop the weapons you want and then revert back so they don't lose anything. It won't get you banned but doing the equivalent with CE might.

Ariandel was much about Friede. She was the connection to the main game. Along with Yuria she was one of the founders of Sable Church of Londor, heavily connected to dark and the roots of hollowing curse and so on, it could all definitely lead towards what you're suggesting and I wouldn't be surprised to see the third founder of the Sable Church, Liliane in some form or another.

You get a warning saying there is invalid data on your save and that if you continue to play with the invalid data you will get penalized from playing online. I only ever got that warning (for a couple weeks) and now it's gone.

I can only assume it was because I had slabs and souls that aren't possible to have with that many playthroughs so once they were gone it didn't detect anything.

There's more people playing it, and I think a lot of the people who played these games for invasions/duels no longer play because it's not very rewarding (not much to learn, the skill ceiling is lower than it's ever been) and invasion balance is fucked.

Alright so for a Greataxe to trade with any 2HR1 the size of a greatsword or smaller, you will need 37.78 poise at 80% and 22.22 at 100%

You can always reset your poise to 100% using the WA, so you can just try to play smarter resetting the poise with WA instead of going 38 poise.
This way you can wear less heavy armor with poise and get more END points from VIT

And instead of the wolf ring you have a swappable support ring for silvercat, obscuring, hornet, sun princess, etc

I was just summoned as a purple phantom to a world and a purple phantom invaded the host I was helping through the level. I tried to kill him dead, but he was immune to all of my attacks, as in they did not even connect. I could lock on and his name was red however. I could even start the backstab animation on him but again, did not connect.

Is this intentional or was that a hacker?
