I don't hate the Fallout 4 PA but I do prefer the previous versions. All the guns look like toys in the FO4 PA.

I do like the feel of it and the HUD doesn't really bother me, but cores are annoying. Overall I'm just not a fan of the frame idea, the whole suit ends up looking oddly proportioned to me.

Is Local Leader required to get everything out of settlements even if I go the raider route and vassalize them? I started with CHA 1 but I guess I could bump it up if I can't make shops or trade routes with raiders without LL.

I actually love it, it makes the PA seem more "real". Fucking FO3 and NV just had it as outfits, there's nothing cool, or "power-y" about said armor. The movement SHOULD be clunky, your a one ton machine that can only move because of the built-in hydraulics and servos.

It's less of an "end game" armor that you just throw on, it's a whole play-style. Needing Cores annoys me for lore reasons, but game-play wise, it makes complete sense, and it's not like the game doesn't literally vomit Cores on you constantly anyways. Repair is fine other than the fact that you don't need to repair anything else, but it's mostly just another balancing point.

You only can't use terminals if there's a chair in front of it, but only because you can't sit down while in power armor, just lazy devs being lazy.

Why doesn't the Brotherhood use robots (besides Liberty Prime of course)? It doesn't seem to meet their criteria for technology that's too dangerous. They already collect and maintain both Power Armor and Vertibirds, surely rigging up a protection is easier than that. Then you have a whole soldier that doesn't need to eat, sleep, or drink. Sending even a single Sentry bot with a platoon would easily double their firepower.

The Workshop DLCs are weird. For that one especially, I like the things it provided that aren't related to the contraptions (scaffolds, boxcar, elevator), same way I liked the concrete prefabs and constructs the Wasteland Workshop DLC gave.

But yeah, they did two big DLCs, Automatron, and then three Workshop DLCs. On one hand, I don't think they thought many people would use Settlements to make it a proper feature to cover every base (although that might just be laziness), and then they gave three DLCs devoted to it.

NMM is fine if you're a casual like me. I never have more than 30 mods and have never had any issues with Fallout 4 due to the Mod Manager. Then again I like to keep the game pretty vanilla. Most of my mods are a few overhauls and some waifu shit. I guess if you like to download all kinds of shit that might conflict then NMM is probably gonna fuck your game up, but it works fine for me.

cs.rin.ru forums - they got sfv files to check everything is up to date and xdelta patches so you don't need to download the whole DLC files again just because of 1MB change.

What ending did you go with for Far Harbour?

I ended up threatening the High Confessor to leave, telling the synth Avery lady she was a synth, and letting DiMA plant a fake for the atom people to get some unstable peace.

I tried having DiMA confess to the townspeople for his murders but they straight up murder him while Allen gets off free killing that Child of Atom preacher for being annoying. Also Nick gets sad he looses his shitty brother.

Then there's the crazy Children of Atom folks, but they somehow seemed less troublesome than the other two and were just angry since one of their own was murdered. I don't know what to make of that mess. I'm BOS and the only thing keeping my from bringing in the Marines is Nick.

Also there was the side quest where DiMA allowed them to memory wipe the one synth due to damage she received on a mission, but no one ever felt like telling her who she used to be and they wanted to keep that hidden from her for some reason? They really aren't much better than the institute and DiMA defaulting to replacing people is worrisome.

So I'm playing through FO3. I'm using a bunch of mods - Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch, FWE, Project Beauty, Breeze's Male Bodies, Type V Female Bodies, Attentater's Wasteland Economy, Farms, one that replaces caps with dollars, one that allows you to buy pack brahmins, and some environmental things like More2Megaton, the Streetlight One, Enhanced Weather, and the Road Warrior Weather.

I tried using Animated Prostitution but it caused crazy input lag where there'd be literally a full second or more between me pressing a button and my character doing anything, so I uninstalled that.

Most of the time I either side with Far Harbor or DiMA. I don't really like DiMA, but most of my playthoughs it has made sense to do one of those paths. I've been unsure what my raider playthrough should do though.
