It's unconfirmed as of yet, but there was a special draw in JP around christmas last year that was 10k lapis but gave 3 rainbow crystals, a +30% ATK materia, and some crappy golden gear. Said banner was datamined a while back on global, but with how many banners have been changed we either might not get it in the end or it might be updated for better or for worse.

Also keep in mind that OK is best used as a mage since he has access to skills no other mage has access to such as Lifesiphon but most of all Stitch In Time while actually having full MAG and mage gear access, unlike the Ninjas, so figure out if that suits your team.

Also the chances of getting a long-term good item are a lot higher on Minfillia and Orlandeau still.

Er, he doesn't have that though. He just gets 5* Ninja and doesn't get one of the empowered spheres to get 6*. Only characters who have 5* Ninja by default get those.
He's an good mage if you manage to get his BSB, but he doesn't have Darkness or anything so he's not exactly the best.

That's true, but it doesn't really matter now because it's not out yet and it has the whole "you might not pull it" issue that every other relic does.
His OSB is really good for general use, but it still does lose to others when elemental weaknesses or Imperils come into play (which allow other mages to build up SB gauge quick and do more damage). It's only truly great when they bring out asshole bosses that resist everything.

They're fucking trash until like level 96, and they're only good at 99.
It is absolutely NOT worth training him up unless you want to invest the 4* motes into him to get his skills, otherwise he's just some loser who can only use 3* skills.
He's not bad at all without his SBs and can use a wide variety of skills with investment, but you're probably better off using those motes on characters you have relics for.

As far as RMs go, he's got the fifth EXP RM but the others aren't even worth mentioning.

I've recently played this hack of the GBA version http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/856/

Mostly because it allows you to play the GBA exclusive classes earlier instead of only unlocking them at the end of the game. One of them in particular is bullshit on the normal game because it only unlocks after the final boss of the dungeon that only unlocks after you finish the game, which means that you won't have anything to use the class on. This mod solves that.
The downside is that it makes the game easier.

An upgrade? Kinda. IF you manage to pull his BSB you could use that and RW SG. His stats are much higher than Tyro's so he can do more damage with his Support abilities.

But he doesn't have to be a pure Support, he doesn't have to replace Tyro. You could use him as a DPS character if you get his SSB (Lifesiphon and Filler) or BSB (Lifesiphon and then Full Charge spam with his Powerchain command).

I've been playing for around 10 hours and did most of the content in the first area available at my level, up to rank 3 hunts. It's pretty good. Here are things about it that are not good:
>inconvenient and time consuming fast travel (several long loading screens to even get to your car, and then an even longer loading screen to fast travel with it)
>the car is nearly useless, as you can't manually drive it during the day, and Ignis' AI is fucking braindead and drives circles around the world to reach even a nearby specified location, while during night, high level monsters stop you and force you out of the car, even if they're not even close to the road
>party AI is retarded and will do less than 10% of the overall damage, despite being 3 of them
>your regular combos are canceled out by party members wanting to do team attacks, which you have no control over and happens CONSTANTLY

Who knows what they're thinking. It's clear they don't realize that quality of life features are what make modern open world games beareable. I understand why a lot of people have rushed through the game and reported the 20 - 25 hour length. The game obviously has much, much more content than that, but who would want to do it if they spend most of the time enduring loading times, other technical issues and long travel distances. Not a pleasant experience. I expect this to be a major complaint once reviews hit.

What should I use on Luneth now that I have his BSB? Lifesiphon's a given, but what else? I don't think he can use any wind abilities outside of spellblade

Reroll until you get a 5* Base (Gilgamesh is on the banner, but Luneth and Lightning work too if you get them).

Continue rolling and hope to get a Cecil.

If you can get both, then its a good account to start on. As you progress, you'll want to hope for a Healer (Refia or Lenna), a Full Breaker to lower enemy stats (Faris is on the Friday banner, though Ingus is an option, and Agrias/Warrior of Light is best) and another DPS (Exdeath is on Friday's banner and also getting his 6* Upgrade and will be the best mage unit).

But yeah, a 5* base unit that can deal damage, as well as Cecil is a good start and probably the minimum to go for when rerolling.

Blank Blade: aoe ssb -atk -mag
Riot Blade: single ssb -atk -def

Running maranda coast for xp, got to 2926 and went to move to area 2... and I ran into a minituar who dropped a quartz? I've run this 50+ times and never had this happen, was this like a scripted encounter I never got? Or can you just randomly find minituars?
