Yuuji was given supersoldier drugs as a kid that gave you cancer and to counteract that was given drugs that stop the cancer but cause suicidal impulses iirc. Yuuji is valuable to Heath Oslo, the bad guy, because he didn't kill himself or anything so he's a valuable sample. But as for what you're asking, my guess is he has an increased risk of cancer still but Rakuen's epilogue doesn't go more than about a year into the future. However, he's probably going to die young of the same thing that killed Asako due to some kind of complication of drugs he was given to keep him sedated or something like that.

Not particularly accurate. Tons of music that sold like shit in their day became cult-hits over time and are now quite popular. And the same can happen vice versia as well, where popular things went by the wayside over time.

It's more about the test-of-time rather than sales. If something still holds well within critical opinion after 50+ years, then I'd argue it has seen artistic success.
