Depends a lot on your playstyle and how the pistol complements your primary.
My favourites:

Assault
-1903 hammerless is great for close quarter finish offs.
Good capacity and ttk.
-I hated the Gasser at first for its slow fire rate in a close range class, but I've now come to realise that it may be the best pistol.
Amazing two hit kill range.
-Howdah is a nice, fast and quick reloading 2 hit up close.
Only 4 bullets though.

Medic
-Auto Revolver hands down my favourite, and many others favourite, revolver.
Decent fire rate, doesn't kick too hard and reloads fast.
-Mle complements medic guns well with a little better damage at range than the 32acp pistols.
Although if people are close the 32acp pistols kill faster.

Support
-Bulldog is an underrated revolver.
Lowest revolver time to kill, as well as the Howdah, but with a couple more bullets than the Howdah.
If you don't mind reloading it then it's pretty good choice.
-Steyr M1912.
Pretty much ditto with what I said about the Mle.

Scout
-Bodeo is the second longest range revolver.
If you use pistol a lot as a scout then I recommend this one highly.
-Frommer Stop is good for when getting caught of guard since you can power through bullets.

I didn't think I'd enjoy playing this one, BF1 felt like an expansion pack more than an actual game to me, probably because of the lack of gunz.

I just got the same vibe from this game as I did with Bad Company when I wanted to play BF2 for the jets and Karkand but my computer was too shit, so I played BC on consoles but it felt very limited. It feels more like BFBC2 Vietnam desu, like a BF game dressed up to be something else and not as free and expansive.

I didn't play Hardline or Battlefront, but those games give me the exact same vibe and from what I can tell from people posting about it they're both dogshit disappointments Hardline being the worst offender.

Eh, I'm kinda losing it. I can only really play when I'm with a group of friends now, I initially bought it solo and none of them planned to buy it. Had fun the first week even just playing by myself but the game isn't new anymore, the freshness is gone and I need friends to keep it interesting.

I just get angry EXTREMELY easily while playing now, and this happened with BF3/BF4 as well. The first month I don't give a shit about stats and just have fun, but then I start caring and the fun plummets after that. Once you get your K/D high enough you have to have really good games ALL the time and it's too stressful trying to maintain it. Losses out of your control go from eh, whatever to incredibly annoying because they ruin your winrate and instead of trying to come back from stomps you either leave the server or sit there in a bad mood angry these shitters are ruining """""""your""""""" game. Bullshit deaths go from something to laugh about to rage inducing if they streak together. It's hard to try new weapons because you already have preferred ones/have figured out the best. You get angry at your team doing dumb shit very easily because you've played a ton of games and know how it'll play out, more likely to rage at them in team chat to get the fuck out of the castle on Fao, etc.

This just keeps happening in recent BF games for me. I guess the problem is after a couple hundred hours there simply isn't really anything in the game to care about AT ALL outside of personal performance. You've already used all the guns, you've maxed all the kits, you've played all the maps a large enough amount that they're stale or getting stale, you've experienced every type of game there is several times (close win, big comeback, big stomp, baserape), there's no real progression left. There just isn't really anything NEW to experience which makes sense but eh, most other games remain interesting for far longer through ranked systems and things like that

In BF1 the mechanics are about 100x better than 4, but it doesn't mean anything when you're whole team bar that 1 russian guy isn't on a hill 50 miles away with 2 kills and 6 deaths.

Cringe that people are pretending BF4 was good. It was impressive, destruction wise, map size, graphics for it's time etc, and there was fucking LOADS to do. You could always have fun with friends like every multiplayer game to.

So the trench periscope seems like a great tool, being able to spot enemies and outline the enemy with a red "shoot at this person you fucking retard" silhouette. But am I missing something or...

1:Is the range complete shit? As in you have to be <80 meters of your target? At that range I may as well just fucking SHOOT the guy instead of spotting him

2:Does the outline vanish extremely quickly? It lasts maybe 4 seconds at best and I have to whip out the periscope and spot them again

Is it? It's a good way of getting decent XP consistently, but I feel you get more XP and definitely more battlepacks if you play shorter rounds, like Domination. If you have a full squad, that's dedicated to JUST running to flags and capping them you can quite easily approach 1000 points/minute, while getting a battlepack roll every 10 minutes or so. If you manage to hold an allcap for a minute or so you'll get less points, but rounds can be as short as 5 minutes in that case.

That's kind of a big if. I get lucky sometimes, and when I play with a full squad I feel like we can sort of carry the team (on 40 players anyway, 64 not so much), but it's still quite a big if.. The nice thing about Domination is, that even if you're in the 'special' team, the round WILL be over in <10 minutes regardless (less even if your team is ACTUALLY retarded) giving you a fresh shot at good XP quickly, AND an extra battlepack.

However, I can tell you that after an hour or so of JUST racing to flags like an imbecile it does become significantly less fun. Especially if you look at the map and see your team mates everywhere EXCEPT at flags.

I went 73-4 the other day as a pilot in Iron Walls. The only reason I even died 3 times is because plane crashes on victory screen count. Got MVP and top pilot score. Stay mad, cannon fodder.
