It tears everything apart when I see one in the game. The strong turret has the cupola weakspot, but with those gun stats you can just poke hill, fire and retreat and the enemy can't do shit about it. The only downside is the weak hull and okay speed, but it's phenomenal otherwise. If the matchmaker shits out a hilly map a good chieftain driver will always get 5000+ damage. It's fucking ridiculous.

Consider looking into tank weak spots once you get to tier 6-ish. Generally these are the sides/back of tanks, flat armor, lower front plate, cupolas, viewports; but some tanks have special cases
You'll probably die from seemingly nothing a bit as you learn the maps, but there's plenty of information out there as to how to play specific tanks on certain maps if you want it

DO NOT fall for the Maus trap the line only brings you suffering.

Rope a few friends in to play with you, its more fun and you have someone to back you up. relying on your team in this game usually gets you killed.

Sooner or later you will see a giant green box tank, shoot the SIDES not the front, back or turret.

Don't buy a premium tank unless you already have a tank of the same tier.

Add a new nation, Sweden.
And make the top tier heavies better autoloaders than the french or american ones.
Faster, stronger armour while being smaller.
And get this. Give the tier 10 12 degrees of gun depression, and a turret that no gun in the game can pen on flat ground, even with premium. Also don't give it any frontal weakspot. And give it the mobility & size of a medium tank.

You can say its balanced by giving it a long inter drum time. But you don't want to make it too weak, so make its full reload shorter than the 50B.

There really are not so major differences between Leo 1 and STB-I, at least on paper, but somehow the STB-I just felt better. I can't explain what I did differently (well, mostly in early stages of matches I've remained hull down and later on picked up the pace and started to assassinate). STB-I just felt like a much better tank overall, whereas I've failed horribly with the Leo 1, which is undeniably a great tank, but not in my hands. I really can't explain the difference, but this is why WoT is great. You would expect the same from two very similar tanks, yet they are just different for my playstyle.

BTW, what kind of stuff are they giving away on play shows? Could you please tell me what can I expect?

It's a net buff though, the same turret as the Panther II now. It now gets -8 depression all around and the flat pennable area is smaller.

Still shit compared to the STA-2, but at least the 8.8/10 will be better than the Panther II at least. Which is fine since even WG conceded the Panther II is shit and will be getting the silly gun from the E 50.
