Fast ones - either ones that keep their energy well and go fast af (fw190,p47,p51)
Turn ones - ones than turn really fast and can outturn their oponents (a6m,early spitfires)
when you combine the two types you get energy fighters (yaks,bf109)
best ones are turnfighters cus you can just turn away if someone is trying to kill you and they cant catch up

the 109s are way better planes and I suggest you go with them but they peak at 109 F4 and G2 so get the fw109D9 after the 109F4/G2
the 109E3 is all around a beast of a plane with great guns buy you gotta learn to use wing mounted guns and what convergence does
the 109F1 is a beast in terms of flying characteristics (better than E3) but you get something like 60 rounds of 20mm which will make you learn trigger discipline
I would suggest learning the 109F1 because if you learn it you wont have any problems with the F4/G2 or even planes like the Yaks

shit was devastating in reserve battles. There was always some tiny weakspot where stray .50 could squeze inside of a tank.
Only issue with it, other than getting stuck in rough terrain all the time, wa that .50 belonged to commander, so losing any crew member was effectively a firepower kill.

Just finished the M48, and I keep hearing on reddit that the M60 has unhistorically weak armor and gaijin refuses to change it.

Is the M60 still balanced despite that? The turret armor layout still seems quite good.
