Yes, but we can look back and see why that was obviously wrong due to her kit.

We can learn from that mistake and look more closely at Sombra's kit in the same way, but when you do that and you try to find a place for it in the game, it doesn't really hold up the way Ana's kit does.

But I do agree that people are going way overboard with the "sombra is shit" meme. She's not shit, she's just not worth picking currently because there are better picks. That doesn't make her bad, it just means she isn't top tier. And honestly that could be easily fixed, and might be soon™ so who knows.

Sombra kit isn't even that underwhelming, i feel it's more a matter of numbers.
She deals little damage, but that's ok, considering that she's more of an offense-support hybrid rather than a pure flanker. Her cooldowns, however, feel waay too long for her to bring enough utility to offset the lack of damage.

Ana Lucio is still the current meta. Zen only replaces Lucio when the enemy team is running three tanks. Symmetra is okay on defense on Eichenwalde, otherwise she is never picked ever. Mercy is never picked unless you need a clutch rez at the end of a round because your team is shit. Ana is never replaced because her nanoboost is still too powerful. Removing the speed boost did absolutely nothing to change her placement in the meta.

Any of these people who tries to argue with you is basically retarded. Just wanted to post this to back you up my man.

BUT.

This game isn't a MOBA, and it isn't a deathmatch. It's a fucking 6v6 objective team-based game, unfortunately.

You cannot carry your team to victory by playing your best class unless you're really, really, stupidly fucking good.

The only way to climb in the trench is to think about your teammates a hell of a lot more than you think about yourself, which means dedicating your time to making sure they live, they get kills, they get on the point, etc.

It's why Lucio is so high up on winrate. He's durable and elusive. You die less, your AOE is up more, your team gets more of out of it. Saving fucking retards is the name of the game. If you're offense or defense and aren't a solo kill ganker, roam with another teammate, it means nothing should actually survive.

Blizzard emphasise so much on trying to make the individual player feel good and powerful, which is toxic as fuck and ruins the experience but keeps people playing. The quicker you make it about your teammates, the quicker you'll get somewhere.

You load in. You see someone is already toxic. You accept the fact your chance of losing just went up 20% and play your best exclusively for boasting stat gains and practice.

Let us say I am a McCree player but I want to learn Genji or something. Doing so in a competitive environment is the best way to go about it, but I wouldn't want my teammates to suffer while I learn since while my McCree is a specific skill tear my genji certainly isn't.

This is why I would make another account and practice different characters there at skill levels appropriate for my level fo play with these heroes.
