It's not as bad as that. Realistically you shouldn't expect more than what you're describing in a private server general, especially when the server most people are waiting for is still a few weeks (or more) away.
Not a lot to do other than snipe at each other over retarded shit, or shitpost endlessly as the majority of posters are literally underage neets.
There ARE quite a few lurkers here who are really chill and friendly and will offer advice on specific things, addons, builds, pvp, etc. But for the most part the frequent posters here aren't terribly interested in discussing the game at the moment - that will change soonish when people are returning to their nost characters or leveling again, at least if they're looking for friends.

Rogues? Great in PvE. But without CDs you're fucked in PvP. And if you get hit by a melee, you're fucked as well.

Mage? Great in PvE. But gets fucked by Warlocks and annoying-ass rogues who DO have their CDs.

The only class I can think of that is reliably good in PvP is feral druids. I have no problem as a feral druid. Nature's Grasp the melees, and if they trinket, I can just bash and entangling roots, then heal up and fuck them up. No other class can counter trinkets like that on such a short cooldown. Ranged? Doesn't matter. Can shift out of CCs and feral charge them.
