There's also no evidence that Flowey is talking to some extradimensional entity. Flowey knew Chara was dead for a long time, yet he still refers to the individual he is talking to as Chara.
He wouldn't just become delusional all of a sudden. Flowey's speech could be interpreted as him speaking to Chara's spirit, whose existence is implied by the flashbacks and narration.

We see things from Frisk's point of view in the story. Chara's whole speech can be interpreted as being with Frisk.

The memories that Frisk awakens within Asriel in order to SAVE him had to come from somewhere.

also the memory in waterfall, while it proves Chara is present, actually doesn't seem consistent with the idea that Chara is conscious. It seems to be a matter of cause and effect: something happens to Frisk that reflects something that happened to Chara, so they see their memories.

It's one of the reasons I don't really buy into charrator. It isn't consistent with either a person choosing to remain passive or a person actively helping.

If Chara is trying to be active and help as much as possible, why show that memory with no real context or explanation? If they're trying to somehow hide their identity and take a backseat, why show a memory at all?
