It's weird. Assuming these people join for the infinite respawns and better payout, they sure do give up at the slightest hint of a bad taste. They die a few times? Boom, gone. They run in alone and die? Strike two. Enemy team wipes you in the first ring? See ya sucker.

And then they lose XP for quitting and also don't gain any of the XP or credits for finishing out a match. A loss in KOTH will still net you around 100 credits, compared to 160 if you performed well and also won.

But these people don't think about ANY of what I just wrote. They die a few times, have a bad game, and that's it. They punch their power button or quit the game and go play CoD instead. Not sure where they learned that it's okay to just pussy out and quit at the first signs of trouble. Then again it doesn't help that when there is 1 d/c who didn't load in or 1 quitter, the enemy team will ravenously hunt you for your blood and hoard all power weapons, plant nade traps, etc. and try to treat you like trash.

Yeah, I've noticed if I've got frags in my hand and I'm being chased, it's really hit and miss about if I try to deal with the pursuer

If I tag the ground it's about a 50/50 that the nade goes off in time to hit the enemy, and if the frag lands at my feet it's about the same as to whether it blows me up or just stings a bit.

I just recently bought two MX300 525GB SSDs. Does anybody know how to move a Gears 4 PC installation from a HD to SSD without having to redownload 80 GB?

I honestly don't know how to move W10 games, you could try dragging the actual folder to the SSD, but that might fuck shit up.

So a 80GB download is the only solution, unless Google has any answers.

The load times on PC aren't that bad, I have it on my 7200 RPM 4TB HDD and it loads pretty good, but with an SSD it loading into MP games and Horde matches would be much faster, but you still have to wait till everyone connects. The same with how the game initally loads up, you HAVE to wait for the fucking intro videos to play, and they mask the loading screens, no way to delete them on PC.

It's actually not weird, 2,147,483,647 is the highest 32 bit signed integer (number) you can store in computers, and you cant go higher due to memory allocations etc.

I think they're still deciding what to give players when they hit Re-Up 10 100 which is why they threw that number in there cause it is impossible to hit it in your lifetime, boosting or not.

Fucking stupid though cause I'm Re-Up 8 now and I'll be Re-Up 10 in about a week and it'll suck being stuck at level 1.

I really hope TC is completely ignoring the worthless feedback that the autists who inhabit their forum regularly spout.

All they fuckin talk about is how the gnasher is inconsistent and broken (and then post videos of them hard-aiming at point blank, clearly missing with half of the pellets) and, most of all, about how the reward system is shit because payouts are low (this was intially true) and the RNG doesn't get them the skins they want

Unfortunately their shit takes up so much space that quality feedback about real problems is ignored or at least almost never taken seriously (see how they dismissed the beta feedback about the new active system). I bet that, despite what they say, the people at TC probably consider their whole community a bunch of cancerous shitters who have no clue of what they are talking about, which is true about 90% of the times.

It's sad because the game is solid, it just need some tweaks here and there, but it will probably end up catching a lot of undeserved shit for stuff that it's just not important.

Except even TC acknowledged the retro was too much for a starting weapon, it had almost the same fuckin dps of a mulcher when close enough, and by feathering it was almost as effective at range. They just couldn't figure out how to balance it properly, so they actually buffed it and made it a pickup weapon. It's ok where it is right now, considerably stronger than starting weapons, but reasonable enough for it to be secondary worth to be picked up (unlike GearsUE secondaries for example).
Seems like you are confusing balance with consistency. Gears 3 was miles better than other gears because it was the first one to run on dedicated servers and had much, much better online performances in general. It was the best gears despite some poorly balanced weapons, not thanks to them.

If we were talking about gears 1,2, or even UE which had the same netcode of gears1, I'd agree with you when you say that luck was too often a factor in gnasher battles, simply because in those games the hit registration was terrible for all weapons, and the gnasher just highlighted the problem more since every pellet counts.

Now unless you have a fuckin third world internet connection, Gears 4 is just as consistent as Gears 3.

Sauce if you don't mind, and please, make sure it's relevant and not some post from months ago or before the TU, I genuinely want to read it.
True, TC acknowledged some inconsistencies,like the gnasher not expending ammo/firing blank, which were mostly fixed in the first TU. But I don't remember anything about hitboxes specifically.
Gears 3 actually had some broken hitboxes, classic baird, savage kantus, and a few others never got fixed.

Listen, I get that sometimes some bullshit might still happen, but it's rare. Most of the time, you just missed, sorry anon. That's what happened in every video "proof" that gets posted here.

The problem is not if there is a good scout or not. it's the low probability of encountering a good scout and even if you manage to play with them they still make a wave drag on most of the time.
Personally I think the scout should have + 500% Pickup Distance (you can combine it with a regular pick up distance skill and get maximum +1000%) and +10% speed boost by nature.

My goodness is pc dead. I would to play versus outside the social playlist. Horde is too frustrating on public search with brain dead people and playing with gowg turns into a shooting gallery. Oh giant worm, bring me peace from this suffering.

I want to try insane horde but I feel like I'd be too shitty for it, and at the same time I'm getting sick of trying to play with pubs on the other difficulties.

Don't take energy from the scout. Stay on the turrets. Don't go 2 feet away from your defenses not even to revive the scout. Stay on the turrets. Don't build anything if you aren't the engineer. Shoot things with the turrets till they die. Wave 31-50 usually a single hameburst will kill someone off a turret. Turrets. An engineer should build turrets then barriers then a decoy then do nothing but buy mg sentries and hide them till the boss wave so they aren't wasting energy refueling the things. Don't leave your turret because you can take infinity more damage on one.

Oh and fucking get off the turrets to roll out of the way from dropshots and boomshots. Also get off and pick the turret up if say a swarmak launches rockets at you. This way only you will die and the glorious turret will live on.

Side note all health upgrades are shit. Don't fucking take them over discount. Bosses still oneshot turrets even with double health. Basically if anything goes down it's the engineers fault for not keeping it up to par.

It's important to play support if you keep getting murked by players that are better than you up close. For example, I'm not *too* good at close range combat. I can wall bounce pretty well but my accuracy is pretty shit unless I'm drunk which is really weird. Therefore unless we are attempting a coordinated push, I usually sit back and lancer whore the shit out of people. Don't forget - morale is a huge part of a team. If you're against an evenly matched team (sort of), one or two support players with lancer crossfire (set up one in direct fire and one for flank) is extremely demoralizing to the enemy team if you put the damage on them for your star players that are up close. People don't give support enough credit. If you can take the enemy's focus off of your guys that are pushing and on to you at a distance, your teammates gain invaluable time (even just a second) to push up and gib the fuck out of the enemy. Gears is about tactics and brute force.

Apparently when you finish a Boss Wave, on the XP screen, if you press Select, you can still run around while the other players are "waiting for other players..." allowing you (the scout) to pick up the remaining X2 power, dunno if it works with ther normal rounds either.
