Kuro has a fortnight which should come around soon since it's been a few months since he last came iirc, get a copy of him there. Generally the drop rates in story mode are low enough that it's not worth farming for units that aren't useful, and you should wait for Double Drop chance or 0.5 Stam to farm the unit you need. Alvida is worth picking up from her fortnight right now, she's a good unit to have even into the late game.

Story mode droprate is about 1%. Only farm the ones that are really necessary, starting with Corcodile in Alubarna.
Kuro has his own fortnight were you can get him, once it comes around.

Kuro isn't completely terrible. His attack can pass 1000, so he at least isn't dead weight, and he can fill two minor niches in that his special charges quickly, so he can be handy against midbosses that give themselves Resilience, and having a combo of eight means he's good at quickly taking out high-defense units.

Plus you'll definitely get a couple copies when you farm his fortnight for Golden Pound books.

The only reason you would ever take Mr 1 is for the damage, not for damage reduction. Therefore, Koza or 3D2Y Zoro are always your first choice.
Usopp's boost and stats are superior, and there's virtually no practical difference on islands besides forests between 8 and 15 CD.
Enel I already addressed, I pointed out Frieza as an example where you would need two boosters.

can someone explain to me how those super armor buffs work? Like sometimes I can just OHKO crabs and characters like Alivda with a single perfect.

if you mean the shield mechanic, it's simple

certain characters have an invisible shield, that prevents 99,9% of the damage, unless you hit it for more than it's treshhold

so if a crab has a 10k shield, if you hit for 9k you don't do damage, if you hit for 12k, you do 2k damage to it, so if it has less than 2k hp you kill it

armor is a flat damage reduction, if an enemy has 1000 armor all your damage gets reduced by 1000, but not any lower than 1
turtles have 10k armor IIRC so as long as you hit more than 10k he gets 1 shot

I've seen a couple Amazon Lily 9 teams that pick Mr. 1 over Koza solely for the damage reduction, and one team that used both of them. In either case, the point where you need to reduce damage snd the point where you need to burst are separate, so they're filling different roles.

Rainbow shield buffs reduce damage by a percentage, blue shield buff raises the enemy's defense stat. The math is a bit different for each.

Do crabs use defense buffs? You might just be thinking about their naturally high defense, Enemies of the same exact type can have different stats on different quests, so some crabs are tougher to crack than others.

I did it with no skill up marco, sw shanks friend, gpu usopp, 3d2y chopper (can sub psy enel), raid mihawk and raid doffy. Gpu to stall on stage before boss stage and farm orbs.

You'll need to feed some junk to your Eneru and level him up as much as you can, his attack can go higher than Marco's, so he's the preferred last hitter.

Marco / Marco

Doffy / Raidhawk

Use Usopp on the next to last stage, look for PSY orbs while taking out the soldiers. You can save some on your non-PSY units since you'll use Doffy on the next stage..

On Frieza, use Mihawk, Eneru, and Mingo to burst on the first turn and take out like 90% of his health. His <67% health power-up will reset his cooldown timer back to two, so you'll have two more turns to finish him off before you get Deathball'd.

Since you need to search for orbs manually, this team isn't fullproof, but I've lost more runs due to missing Perfects than because I got bad orbs.

The thing that's so great about Cavendish teams is they have 2 burst turns. Burst 1 is whenever they pop most their specials
Burst 2 is when Cavendish pops his.
Since his works alone, you can use the teamwide ones whenever you want, great for clearing Stage 4 in the colo

Still figuring out a concrete strategy, but my setup is Double SW Ace, SW Franky, Capone, Zephyr, and Heracles'un. When you burst, you can do about 2 mill to Kid. Working out the best way to deal with Kalifa though, since things are a little luck-reliant for orbs normally.

Wew. After ~20 runs of Robin+Nami fortnight, from a socketing perspective, it's completely and utterly shithouse for Robin drops.

3 (three) Robin drops in those runs and ~13 Nami. THREE fucking Robin. Fortnight bosses with fodder units around them were a fucking mistake because it fucks the RNG up so badly.

I'll just wait for Summer Robin or HW again over this shit, I'm only socketing V1 Robin anyway. Time to hit up Gan Fall instead for at least skillbooks I can use and a strong fortnight unit.

Question about Multi-Hit Specials.
Can the damage hit enemies with 0 HP? As in, are the enemies sent away AFTER the special ends, rendering some hits completely useless, or are they sent flying immediately after a single hit is done, meaning hits aren't wasted?

TNami does NOT have 2.8 million health, she has exactly 3.120.000 hp. This means that some of the teams, like the double Squard one CANNOT KILL HER IN ONE TURN.

Hatchan's attack boost against enemies with boosted defense doesn't work here, and almost noone has him maxed anyway.


What everyone forgot about is that there is a Double Garp team that ACTUALLY FUCKING WORKS. It requires Dugongs as a poison-remover, and takes like 20+ turns, but it works.

The safest bet is to use Double Enel and just stall for 99 turns. If you don't have lvl 5 autoheal + 100RCV CC, use GPU to delay her in order to heal up. It takes like half an hour, but you only need to clear this shit once anyway.

Definitely possible, you'd have to be dealing around 1.2m damage. You can use damage cutters too once her debuff runs out remember, which would make it even easier.

I'm so used to the strategy for all content being "BURST BURST OTK OR YOU'RE FUCKED", but once I stopped and considered that I could just whittle Kalifa down to 50% and then knock her out with farmed orbs on Barto + Gan Fall, and still have enough health to whittle Kid down a bit before blowing all of the other specials on him, I got super excited.

It's slow, for sure, but it beats having to use G3 for farming.
