That's the problem, it NOT hard, it's a piss easy boss mechanically, it's just an absolutely obscene gear check. Guilds that got lucky on farm and got the loot they wanted are killing it while guilds that weren't so lucky are stuck bashing their heads against it until they can luck out and get a pull where all their DPS get good RNG. That's why a guild full of knuckledragging retards like Honestly can kill it before actual good guilds do.

It's worse than butcher, IMO, because at least you could go clear the rest of highmaul before coming back to him.

>Yeah, it's called purifying brew, removed 50% of stagger damage and has 3 charges. So let's say an attack is coming that will hit for 10 mill. Baseline I stagger 40% of damage. With a talent, that I always use, I stagger an extra 10% so fairly passively things aren't bad. If I use iron skin brew( shares charges with purifying brew), that's an additional 40% totaling 90%. So if I know this 10 mil is going to hit me ( any mechanic like that has an alert on dbm) all I do is pop isb for a nice 90% stagger. I take 1 mill right off the top immediate damage, a good hit, but only about 30% of my hp. Then I have 9 mil in a 10 sec dot. That's 900k a second. Sounds insane. But wait, I just double tap purifying brew which cuts my stagger in half. The first drink takes it to 450k/s and then the second takes that to 225k/s. Effectively mitigating 6,775,000/10,000,000 damage.

BrM is good on that fight, but you don't have infinite brew charges, no way you could solo tank that. Just on this ISB -> double purifying you already blew all your charges, even if you pick the talent that allows you to refresh your brews you're only going to do that twice

you can, however, go much farther than most other tanks (taking less damage because of it), and stagger is a great mechanic for soaking that thing, plus it's one of the few places where Zen Meditation actually does something
