So how was world pvp on nostalrius? Did people group up to help each other out, use the general/localdefense chat to defend one another? Or was it just getting killed by a rogue 20 levels higher than you and then a bunch of 16 year olds telling you to get good when you ask for help?

I'm not averse to pvp, I played on a pvp server, but unlike back in the day I don't have my high school friends to help me out so I'd have to find all new people

I quit like two weeks before AV was added in, the whole time I leveled my rogue and druid I never once had a world pvp fight where I was 1v1 or even numbers. Horde always had numbers advantage and you could not do shit in STV because the outnumbering factor was so huge.

I'm actually tempted by the l4g instant 70 thing, even tho i prefer servers with no instant leveling features. And of course even if it got temporary pop, it still wouldn't have enough people. Or at least that's what I'm assuming.
It sucks since TBC always felt like vanilla+ to me. Fixes a lot of things and improves a lot. I still feel like flying ruined a lot, and in hindsight resilience and arena were bad additions (tho arena is still pretty fun).

Cool. Again, probably a dumb question but what's the most populous server that has the most content on it? As I said I mainly just want to do PVE/raiding to learn the world etc.

A lot of people like to pretend that nost was amazing and had very little bugs, but the opposite was true. There was retarded amounts of lag and tons of bugs, especially with shamans/paladins. Still one of the best options because of the lack of cash shop and a dedication to keeping things blizzlike as much as they could. Item progression was nice.
Honestly, I just really hope official legacy servers happen because they wouldn't have these problems. But right now we just have to settle for nost, so I guess it's better than nothing.

I can never take women seriously online. It just doesn't work. They're never funny and pretty much all online "friendship" revolves around banter and jokes at each others expense. I remember leveling up and horde would pretty much always team up on you. Likei would be leveling and see a horde and its allsmiles.jpg and we just avoid each other then his friend would come and suddenly they never leave me alone. people pretty much always killed you when they had a chance. it wasnt like leveling up in north american servers where people would occasionally leave you alone to quest and everything was all good. The only time people would back off would be if they were calling their friends in for backup as i described above.

It's cool though once i hit 60 i camped that escort quest that was bugged so it would take 20 mins longer than usual.

Priest is not a beginner healing class in vanilla. It's more complicated than most people give it credit for and it's certainly nothing like healing in retail with many different downranked spells and variety of healing options that are all situationally good.

If you want an easy healing class to play, I would suggest Druid. You use like 2-3 spells other than Innervate and Battlerez. (warning, it is dogshit)

Paladin on the other hand is decently simple as well. I main Holy paladin and only use 5 spells other than Blessings in the raid. (Holy Light Downranked 2, Max rank Flash of Light, Max rank Holy Light, Min Rank Holy Light, and Divine Favor before I pop a big Max rank Holy light) Occasionally as well, I use Blessing of Protection on an stupid Warlock who gets too much threat on a berserker in ZG.

I've never played shaman but from what I've heard it's just Spam Totems+Spam Chain Heal

Or you can just get a Healing Addon/Macro that lets you cheat and get like an extra 20-30% of your normal HPS(even if youre just spamming on the MT)

Most guilds dont like it when you resort to that level of faggotry however and it gets really boring.

For Alliance Paladin is the most populated healing class and you will being facing the highest amount of competition. Don't expect to get into dungeon groups max level unless you are the leader. (Paladins are however BETTER than priests in the raid healing department, don't let anyone tell you otherwise)

The class is also notorious for being filled with autists/faggot losers (this I can confirm)

Leveling with Paladin is very slow and VERY boring. The best rotation on Nost is literally Crusader Seal+Sometimes Concecration+Autoattack. Probly the slowest out of all classes except maybe the warrior.

Don't expect to do any sort of DPS in PvE or PvP, ever. The mount also cost me something like 400g or something, cheap, but not as cheap as warlock.

If all of these things are bearable to you than Paladin could be the class for you. I enjoyed it.
