It sucks because i tried both out and doing Yusukes gets you a Sae investigation scene and doing Ryujis doesn't activate the investigation scene.

So when you miss an opportunity to lvl up with a character does it just move onto the next lvlv up sequence with them?
At first i though it would freeze the coop lvl up at where you last left of if you miss an opportunity, so the next time i can lvl up with Ryuji will be the same sequence i tried today, but it will be a different one from what im witnessing.

Anyone know if my assumption is true.

I wish more people explored their dynamic a bit in fanworks. I don't like them as a pairing, but Sae being an older sister/mother figure to Goro works pretty well with what we see of them in-game.

We just know he was prepared to step in when he saw a grown man assaulting a woman. We can assume he's always had a fearless vigilante streak in him, even if he's far more cool-headed about it compared to someone like Ryuji.

And I know the P5 manga isn't canon, but whatever. It gave me the headcanon that after the arrest took place, MC was pretty damn disillusioned. He seems to see himself as an outsider and you get the sense that he generally mistrusts most people he encounters at that point (this is before he meets PT). My Japanese isn't good enough for a more detailed translation, but I can see why he'd connect to Goro and feel like he has a deep understanding of him later on in the game.

Ideally? They'd have to work with his overall speech. There's no way to keep pronoun switching like that in an English translation, but different levels of politeness/crudeness in speech still exist.

For example, they could translate his response to the "I've got expectations for you" choice before the first casino miniboss as "I promise I'll surpass your expectations." In fact, the first time they go to Sae's palace, they're unsure for a moment if they're really in the palace since such a large part of the area looks the same, until they notice that Morgana changed forms (their actual costumes don't change until the place is on alert, which takes trespassing into the main part of the palace).

Goro does notice something for a moment when the otherworld navi goes off, but because his surroundings stay identical the entire time he's in the palace until he returns to the real world, he doesn't put together what went down until either the talkshow towards the later parts of Shidou Palace (thanks to someone's phone going off while the show MC's questions have him lingering on what happened that day), or when it's discovered that there's no body in the morgue (leading to the deadline game over for Shidou Palace).

Actually digging the explanation back up, I forgot how silly the last part got. Everyone's accounted for just about everything, and things should go just as planned as long as Joker gets Sae to show his phone to Goro... and then literally in the middle of the night before the assassination Makoto realizes it's possible Sae's palace has a cognitive version of Goro that would reveal everything just by being there if the real Goro ran into him.

So they go back into the palace to deal with that, prepared to have to handle that moments before the main part of the plan goes off... only to find out Sae's cognitive Goro is just a regular high school student because Sae doesn't know his true nature at that time, so they can resort to strength in numbers to just surround him, have Makoto knock him out, and then drag him to another floor to make sure he stays out of the way.

Since Sae was never reformed, shouldn't that mean her palace still exists until Yaldabaoth is dealt with? I wonder if that means that cognitive Goro's still restrained in the police station part of her palace until then.
