Back from Sonic Fan Jam

Highlights:
1.They had a setup for the demo of Sonic Mania, I probably played it at least 20 times.

2. Met ABT his assistant, Yardly, Ian, and Aleah.
They were all super cool and ABT recognized me from the general and from his streams. I got a signed version of the Chaotix comic from Yardley (I was gonna get a Shattered comic but I couldn't decide on just one, so I just went with the Chaotix one. No fighters anymore)
I ended up chatting with Ian, ABT, his assistant, and Aleah for a really long time.

3. Got Pollock's signature on a sketch of eggman I did. He's gone from purple shirt to a silver shirt

4. Met Meme man himself. Really cool guy.

5.Watched the presentation for the official announcement of Big's Big Fishing Adventure 3.

6.Met the composer for Sonic Mania. he really wanted to see my sketchbook. He also really liked my art and said he'd definitely find me online later.

You'd think. There were people who were coerced into playing it. And there were stretches of time when no one was playing it. To be completely honest There was almost never more than 3 or 4 people waiting to play it at any time.

By comparison there was one guy (Who I actually knew from staffing at another con) who basically spent ALL DAY playing the Hatsune Miku game.

I ended up meeting "In all ways but Physical I am a wolf". Him and another guy had a conversation about how freaky Chris-chan and how he deserved everything he got.

I talked to Ian about Lost World and we both agreed that there's ideas in there that could really work but the execution killed it. When asked about the Zeti in the comics Ian darted his eyes back and forth jokingly.
I asked Ian his favorite games and he said
Classic: Sonic 3 & Knuckles
Modern: Colors

I asked Pollock which Eggman is his favorite to voice and he said "Boom Eggman is a lot of fun to do because it's such a different take on him"

I also remember talking to Aleah about Sonic X and iffy voice acting in sonic. I also recall talking to her about errors in comics and how there's just cases of characters being the wrong color or having backwards hands or a very recent case where Vector's chain is missing in one panel.

In all honesty I talked to a lot of people all day and yet I can hardly remember half of the conversations I had.

Who has played the Sonic Pocket Adventure Winter hack yet? I'm really impressed by the addition of Tails and Knuckles (minor glitches notwithstanding), but the pallette swap is pretty dumb imo. I guess he just wanted to prove it could be done.

I'm a huge fan of Pocket Adventure, especially all the hidden puzzle pieces so I hope this hack gets fleshed out.

It seems like that because they're poor, but that's only because they take their cases for free most of the time, to the point where they borrow from loan sharks. The only who could be considered slightly incompetent is Charmy, and even then, he still helped Vector find 5 secret discs for G.U.N. in Shadow's game and helped Vector and Espio hack into the ARK (even though all he did was ram his stinger into it).

I am one of those people. Regarding Flynn-led Archie anyway, particularly the reboot.

It brings all the disparate things together. Even the games are hopelessly disparate from each other. But the comic does the best job of bringing it all together in a satisfying way, and has been doing it for years and years now.

Most of our most famous stories started as plays. They're now enjoyed as books and are thought to be mainly books. Especially as more is added and the medium rubs off indelible affect to the idea.

Well if you're talking about the classic era then you had two cartoons and a well-known comic based on the cartoons versus a few storyless games. Most kids are going to gravitate toward the non-game material because a) they have actually stories regardless of quality, and b) they came out more frequently. The games were fun to play but the meat of the franchise back then was in the non-game media. It wasn't until the Adventure era when all the cartoon were cancelled, the comics were shit, and the games started having stories that the meat of the franchise was in the games themselves.

Again, this has nothing to do with the quality of the above, but most people are going to gravitate toward something they can experience more frequently and that has a story.

Lol no. I basically just learned my ABCs, not any words. I can basically sound some shit out and write it in romanized characters, but I don't know any Kanji, so I'll be missing Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives.

I've watched enough anime and spoken with enough Japanese speakers to know basic sentence structure and some dumb words like "nani", but if I don't have any of the things needed to plug into those structures to make anything make sense yet.

It's not Sonic Adventure 3 because it's not Sonic Adventure 3, period. That's the only criteria that matters.

Even with Adventure 1 and 2 the only similarities are multiple playable characters, multiple story paths, and Chao Garden. The lack of the third one disqualifies 06, and if you remove Chao Garden from the criteria then there's no reason to consider Heroes to be Adventure 3, Rush as Adventure 4, and 06 as Adventure 5.
