Miraculously I managed to get all my placement matches in without any problems and minimal waifu abuse coming from my own team. Last season was terrible. Picked widow and not only did teammates throw tantrums in 3 separate matches, but 2 of my teammates dropped out/afk'd. This season was much less toxic and welcoming. Only had one teammates cuss our team out but didn't single me out.

I think the best thing is when your team at the beginning sounds worried and questions your pick or asks if you can go healer or tank. But as we play the match, no one says anything afterward, so I guess I played decently enough this season or my teammates were just much more polite this time around.

I only started playing this season like 2 weeks ago and I'm still stuck in low diamond. I've always been shooting for the top 500 rewards but I'm definitely not good enough to make it this season.

I could make the two very different if I were in charge.

I'd push McCree with the concept of "Saloon shootout" instead of the "gun range" accuracy hero he is now.

His combat roll would take a bigger roll in his kit- some kind of much shorter cooldown, maybe some kind of small protection to it. If it works right, when he can alternate roll and fan the hammer, he alternates between rolling and being evasive and dishing out damage in very fast, massive bursts.

I'd probably find it justifiable to bring McCree's damage per bullet up even higher, but with a cost of accuracy that makes headshots beyond very close range legit rare. Right now with the laser point accuracy you have to assume McCree is accomplishing headshot damage the vast majority of the time. The goal would be to get him to dish out lots of constant damage in a 10m range with a high level of combat mobility (rather than any kind of map mobility of a flanker with wall climb, blink, teleport etc.) that extends it to ~15m. The lack of accuracy should mean his lethal damage at range is reduced to taking potshots at clusters of people and shields(if anything I want McCree to do MORE to a Reinhardt shield 25m away than he does now.) That kind of shooting is what I think Hanzo, Soldier:76, and Widowmaker can cover.

I've actually won games because we had a D.Va over any other hero in her place. I'm not going to lie there's a certain level of effectiveness that no other hero can recreate. It mostly has to do with extreme case scenarios and an overly talented D.Va player but the potential is there. EX: an expert Pharah JUSTICE FROM ABOVE gets put in a safe warm D.Matrix protective layer on a KOTH map and there's no DELETEHANA Zenyatta etc. kit around.

I think her design is still fundamentally flawed. She should have gotten something like Roadhog's m2 for her Fusion cannons or some other kind of effective range.

The fact that Blizzard is happy with and actually think that 100 hp buff to D.Va fixes her problems is the extent of their "experimental changes" means she'll never get a serious pass.
