I legitimately cannot solo him without a GS, and even with a GS I usually fail two or three times out of every five attempts.

he's faster than fucking rajang, has virtually no tells on some of his strongest moves (FUCK that insta-beakslam), he does that retarded "roar-rath spin" trick that pissed me off in low rank except it's light speed now, if I try hunting with rands they triple cart in less than a minute, and on top of all that 4U's retarded apex bullshit makes it so that if I mess up even a tiny bit too much I'll be spending a cart

I've played every MH since FU and I've never felt more legitimately frustrated and beaten by a monster.

Devs realized a very important part about the weapon system. People LOVE certain weapon designs. Trial A was Relic Weapons in 4. Trial B was to make every weapon that is physically different looking its own chain, with relatively usable stats at every level.

However, you will notice that there are major downsides to lower rarity weapons. Very noticable in guns. They have bad bullets. Also may have poor sharpness (which is fine for blademasters now, with blunt weapon)

It's a cool idea, and I love using the weapons I want to, but I don't love the upgrade system's feeling in gen. Since each weapon has 6-10 versions, it takes forever to get anywhere and most upgrades suck dick. 200 raw to 205 raw for 60k z and 6-8 items. That's not fun.

4U is the complete MH experience due having G-Rank, Gen is a new take on the series with the new hunting styles and hunter arts, it's a bit polarizing and the game feels incomplete without G-Rank, but still fun and less punishing to play if you are new to the series.

I'd recommend starting with 3U, since the weapon balance is great and it has the best monster roster in the series so far (in my opinion, of course), but no multiplayer for 3DS.
