I've been trying to get steelhax to work, currently following Plailect's guide on doing the NFIRM downgrade and I'm launching the steelhax installer on the source 3ds, which is in version 11.2. I always get the error that I can't grab the payloard url.
I've tried putting the otherapp renamed payload.bin on the root, on the same folder as the installer and on a folder called steelhax in the root of the SD card, have used both new and old installers and keep getting the same error, any way around this?

Ok guys, i had the same problem and i fixed it, i was unziping it an transfering it from linux and the integrated sd reader, i switched over to my windows box and used a external card reader, extracted it with 7zip, when you guys are going to install it it doesnt show the banner and says region unknown right? This helped to me.

I didn't see this posted anywhere so I though I'd share since I know a few people would like this.

Kaphotics posted here how to patch Sun/Moon for no outlines, but that's basically it, while the patch is as easy as doing a find/replace, it involves decrypting the cia and dumping the code.bin and whatnot.

Anyways, so save anyone who plans to use the patch the trouble of doing this, I uploaded a pre patched code.bin for Moon, this should work with the leaked CIA going around, it should also work with any legit carts and the eshop copy once it's out, here it is:

For usage I suggest Luma3DS, as it is simple as dragging and dropping the file in the following directory:

IF YOU STILL HAVE IT YOU ARE GOOD. There is nothing wrong with dev menu, there is better options but as far as you have that, you can install newest FBI to your 3DS when you are done, and maybe newer version of dev menu from 11.4 leak etc. I still keep DevMenu around as a backup solution, I just mostly use FBI now.

So if your emunand has DevMenu still, and you are going to make the emunand to sysnand transfer after A9LH and all, do it, and then you can just install FBI with DevMenu aight?
