As I understand it, there will be servers for PvP/PvE Nost transfers and also PvP/PvE fresh start servers, right? Both Nostalrius and Elysium characters go into a brand new one, pvp server characters from both end up on pvp server and same with pve.

A third fresh pvp server will be made as well with no transfers. Elysium created characters that have the same name as Nostalrius ones will have to change their name during the character movement.

There will be some people that stay for sure, and nost being so big it may be kind of a special situation. But guilds said they'd stay on k1 as well. Some did and were fine, some did and lost too many people. Other stayed and then gave up on it.
There are exceptions but generally the majority of fags will go on the bigger server, which will most likely be the fresh start. People always say shit, especially the kind of person who regularly posts in forums, but you have to factor in their motives and read it with a grain of salt.

I could see the rez'd new server doing ok if they release it first (i THINK that's what they said, was gonna wait until the AMA to speculate harder), but most if not all of them will be dealing with filling raid spots due to so much time passed, as well as some will opt early to go reroll since leveling and launches are pretty fun.

The reason people are so sure is because historically the newer fresh server "wins". Again, nost being so big may make it a special case, but that same bigness will also lead to the fresh start being bigger than jesus due to normies.

I've tried a lot of classes, but can never really get "into" ranged dps or anything in cloth.
Always go back to shaman or paladin. Paladin since I almost always go for the "crusader" or "cleric" type in games, and shaman since it's the closest horde equivalent. In my head at least, they're similar but paladins are much more defensive while shamans are more offensive oriented.
