The synergy of taunt+parry feels very nice.
The charge is useful, especially with the stun, taking that talent but then that weakens parry.

This is a hero that competely invalidates Tassadar and Artanis AND still gets the option to reduce healing to fuck double healer comps.
Varian is OP because not only is he flexible as hell, he's also good despite not specializing.

He's not the first choice, but he can main tank without problem.
His Dps config turns him into a less extreme Butcher that can still buff his allies with banners.
Want to help your burst damage healers? Just make their target vulnerable for 3 seconds :)

Ok, there was too many Blizz dev's in those streamer videos who let Zul'jin slip of their tongues. He's absolutely confirmed coming and really soon, if you had any doubt.

I'm just worried what his kit could be. Any other troll (Vol'jin, Sen'jin, Rokhan) could get some fun shaman/totem/curse abilities, but what could Zul'jin be? Another hateful melee assassin like Illidan, Zeratul or Grey? Or a generic WC2 axetrower basic ranged AA?

Only the face. As explained in the last thread, the face isn't bad. The model could stand on its own, were it a generic fire elemental, or some OC that was Rag's spawn or something. However, Ragnaros has an iconic face. The new face doesn't even look like it's grinning, because it ends at the mouth. It's a generic skull, basically, and lacks the facial structure Rag did. It didn't have to be the same jack-o-lantern face, but it had to at least look like his. The horns would have been great on his normal face.

Imagine if they took Illidan and removed his blindfold, gave him bright blue anime eyes and a perpetual smirk. It's still Illidan in theme and character, model and everything, except the face is different because of some artistic liberty, because, let's say, Illidan was in this anime one time as a guest character??? And they're trying to take from all sources. Kind of like the defense that he looks more like the generic firelords from WC3, which is somehow a good thing to defenders of the change.

To be a good solo tank a hero needs
1. peel
2. survivability
3. and a way to initiate
in that order.

The heroes you mentioned have all that, that's why they are good main tanks.
Chen has no stuns and only one slow, he can't prevent a diver to fuck your backline. Same with Stitches, the hook is a fantastic initiating tool bit it's also his only form of peel except for a slow he has to talent for.
Every off tank is great if he has at least another off tank, so their combined peel is enough to stave off attacks.

Lots of warriors simply cannot talent into having all three aspects. Anub with double stuns has plenty off initiating and peel, though that requires landing your stuff, but he's really fucking squishy as a lone tank.
Artanis cannot ever talent to get initiating power (though he'll have it soon) and he has no peel at all. He's stuck at bruising because that's what he's designed for.
Diablo is just sad. But with just a few cooldown reductions on shadow charge and overpower he'd be a great main tank.

Do note that you don't NEED a main tank though. Lot's of assassins and specialists also have abilities to disrupt and stop your enemy team from doing whatever they want.
