Do I need to create an emunand if I have no worries about my game saves or other content? I could easily redownload all the games I have and many of the saves for those games I don't care about. What I care about is actually being able to use the hacked 3DS with DSiWare to hack another one. I just worry if the system reformat will remove all the hacks/a9lh and prevent me from doing so.

Vesperia English Patch will not work with that 4.xx exploit for PS3. The patch uses a modified eboot and param.sfo and OFW PS3s are finicky about those.

First get yourself a PS3 that can downgrade below 3.55, all fats can do it and early slim models can do it. 25xx slim models have to use minverchecker file (google it) to see if they can downgrade.

If your PS3 has a NOR chip (all slims and later fats), you buy a E3 flasher. Take apart your PS3 which takes less than 20 minutes if you use Youtube or visual guide. Attach the E3 chip to your Nor by pressing it on there, no need to solder or anything. Then follow the E3 steps (tons of guides online) to downgrade your PS3. The whole downgrade process should take about 1 hour (or longer if you get stuck or something) but after the downgrade you should be able to install CFW and play any game you want with virtually no headaches and no dealing with russian bullshit.

If your E3 clip is brand new, you shouldn't need a clamp. Just apply even pressure with 4 of your fingers on each corner when you put it on.

If your clip is old/used or you still can't get a good connection for some reason then a clamp or anything that can put weight on it without shorting out the chip will do.

After transferring the game to the non cfw and setting up a9lh, is it possible to follow this guide http://pastebin.com/2sBZGgxR to unlink the nnid and then link it to the original 3ds it came from instead of waiting a week or calling nintendo?

Is it mandatory to have access to the eshop in the cfw 3ds with the dsi game before transfering the game to the other 3ds even if said dsigame is already set up to do the downgrade? Don't care if it is needed for steelhax because I already have oothax.

For the mai dump of Ayesha, in what folder does the resources1.psarc go? I transferred that file separately from the rest of them and I forgot where it originally went. I assume that it's the root of the gameid folder.

In the process of upgrading from a 32 to 64 so I threw in my SD card from my n3DS into my n3DSXL that I thought I had bricked when on AuReiNand and I had thought I updated my SysNand way back when just for kicks. and and it powered on.


The SD card is running al9h+Luma3DS and it boots the contents of the SD card as if it was my n3DS. FBI works and shit.

Should I just leave it as is and update normally or should I do a clean install of al9h+Luma if its even possible.

I already chalked this up for a loss a few months ago and ate the $200 so I'm not really going to be upset if it bricks.
