Another PBEfag here, he doesn't have tank Ekko's permaslow, ranged AoE slow or low CD gapcloser.
Also much of his damage seems to be in his scalings as opposed to tank Ekko's bases which are what enabled him to be played tank and still do damage.

If he lacks both the sticking power and the damage of tank Ekko I can't really see the added healing making up for that. Might as well just play Mundo.
There's also the fact that his healing is capped at 50% of his recent damage but a tank with essentially 50% innate damage reduction would still be silly so that's not incredibly important.

Also last round I think I ran into someone that was legit boosted. I was Ashe (Braum) into Draven (Lux). He was 0% aggro in laning flashed and healed with no strategy and never tried to return trades. He had a single cs per minute, not even exaggerating. He literally had 1 cs per minute. I almost got a penta in that round but man that was some weird shit.

No it means everyone's gonna to be used except Kalista since BoRK isn't getting fixed. Don't get the wrong idea, the ArPen path was really good for many ADCs, however those ADCs could still go with their unique Crit build and still wreck havoc. Many people started dropping the ArPen build on MF,Lucian, and Jhin (the biggest users of ArPen). So from an ADC Mains standpoint this patch will be bliss where you can use every AD, just some will be slightly better than others, yet still viable.

It's a hard to master champion to be honest and you can be punished heavily if you don't hit with her missile type shots. I've seen only one good Taliyah which managed to totally dominate me on my main (Gnar 400k mastery), I just couldn't approach her and if I did, I couldn't kill her cause my HP was too low.

Lucian is only bad in like Silver or Bronze. If you're using that as your standpoint for whether or not to use Lucian, then kill yourself. His mechanics are simple as hell and he's the universal ADC every one that mains the role should know how to play along with several others. Yes the Phage passive doesn't stack (and the mana is wasted on Shyv) but every single other stat is godlike on them. It gives you a LOT of damage, people really underestimate it, and having 40% CDR by midgame is amazing, almost no other champions can get that so soon by items alone. It's especially useful on Skarner and Vi, who's ultimates are needed to make picks and win team fights. I highly recommend trying it out, it's very effective. I'll always build Trinity first, then BC then boots of course and situational tank items.

Watching Scarra & Quas stream has helped me improve a ton. I have gotten better at understanding the game state, constructing a plan for the match, and most importantly not tilting.

Mastery 5 Varus here. I play him in bot as a standard crit/ad/atkspd ad carry. He's perfectly viable and very fun imo. I don't know why people decided to start building him full ad/arpen and only using his Q. He's way more effective when you use all of his kit. I mean jfc he has 15% max health damage baked into his kit that he can proc multiple times against multiple targets.

He does amazing DPS, has an attack range of 575. That's longer than Sivir and Lucian (500), Jinx/Quinn (525) as well as Vayne Twitch MF and Ezreal (550).

He's honestly totally fine and viable in the role, people should play it more and see for themselves.
