Bizarrely enough my favourite card game was a singleplayer only dungeon crawler with card game strategy as the combat.
its art was literal ms paint tier and music was ripped off composers. but mechanics was solid and felt like an old school experience.

There's also VS, which publishes weekly statistical reports on the state of the game. These are pretty much the only stats we have to work with, so we all refer to them. They also post some of the top current and rising decklists for that week.

Then there's Twitch, you can often see some of the best players and deckbuilders in the world working on refining their lists. Forget the big 10,000-viewer celebrities, most of them suck cocks at the game.
People to look for off the top of my head: Purple, Rage, VLPS, Ant, Gaara, Xixo.
These guys typically build and play new top-tier decks, you'll see their names on lists and pros crediting them all the time.
There's also people who are considered the specialists/experts for certain decks or classes (eg Laughing for freeze mage, Zetalot for priest).
One of the benefits of HS is that you can just go on and talk to them directly, ask questions, debate tech choices, etc.

At the end of the day though, your biggest tool is the ladder. Trial and error.

Will non-Control Warlock decks finally get the support they need from MSoG?

Malydruid, with proper tech (ie geddon, harrisson/ooze, etc)
Control warrior (all major variants), same.
Tempo mage (48% against half the field because lol RNG)

Disco zoo does much better than you might think, it's only down by 48/52 or so. Make sure to pack an alchemist. Some people even run a priestess.
Face secret hunter is slightly favored and good overall.
Both of these are your best choices for climbing high ranks imho.

Good control priests work (and dragon to lesser extent), but they lose hard to almost everything else and you can just concede to rogue.
Plus they require playing priest.

Non-meme control shaman decks (ie nzoth, dragon, and classic) are heavily favored, but they literally auto-lose to combo decks (no tank up so RIP your face) and many struggle against priest.
On the upside they shit all over aggro.
Handlock and renolock are also somewhat favored, but also get boned by combo and can struggle against aggro. They beat the hell out of priest, though.
I've heard dragon mage can hang with the control boys too, though i haven't tried it myself.

I've also heard of people having success with new specialized ramp and c'thun druid lists, but i can't confirm that myself either.

Freeze and aggro freeze are obviously as favored as always, but don't fight cancer with AIDS.

Konami every 3 years follows the same formula:

After moving to other card games or other game communities I just understood how fucked up Yugioh is AND the community of Yugioh

Alright, this shit is hot off the presses. Just made it. Let me explain it a little. He replaces your deck with a deck made of five cards which consists of Reno, Elise, Brann, Finley, and good ole Rafaam. I made this card because I will deeply miss LoE once rotation hits and the idea of using Standard cards to generate cards normally in wild is both appealing to me and has precedence in the form of Ball of Spiders.


This card would only be good in a strict fatigue match, since it basically gives you five turns without fatigue if you are careful with it, and additionally provides a Reno for healing at the end. I wasn't sure the most succinct way of wording it, but you get the general idea.

Thoughts? And pls no bullying.

No, it doesn't work like that.
For example, freeze mage has extremely high oppression potential despite being hard countered by a dozen different things, while shaman only oppresses eboladin despite being countered by only a handful of unfavored decks.

Just look at, say, a non-warrior control deck that loses to shaman. It can't be oppressed by shaman, because its shaman matchup is only 45/55.
However, it CAN be oppressed by freeze mage, where the matchup is maybe 5/95 instead.
If freeze mage is common, that deck is unplayable.

Freeze is obviously an extreme case, but priest is pretty bad. It's dangerous because of the wide variety of decks it can potentially oppress: midrange, control, aggro, and anything vulnerable to entomb (ie paladin).
If it gets enough buffs to oppress all of those, things degenerate into a binary meta of combo vs priest.

Potion of Madness can and will get 2 for 1s just for 1 mana.
Dragonfire Potion is not only for dragons, you're Priest, you have no board, it's simply a better Excavated Evil.
Kabal Talonpriest is strong and is not dragon related.
The Drakonid Operative is so fucking strong that you may want to play it in non-dragon decks just for the sake of playing it, maybe using Ysera as an activator.

This expansion is pure Anduin/Tyrande fanservice.

It's barely worth it. It has reasonable stats but not everything that's a cut above is competetive. Priest has had several much better cards like dark cultists that regularly got cut. To boot it's another activation requiring card, as if the deck wasn't clunky enough. 3 drops suck to begin with unless they fill a role like monkey; they're not that much better than 2 drops that you would want to dedicate a slot to them (if you can help it), and significantly worse than 4 drops. Every dragon deck drops technician as soon as it gets to have an actual shape.

In any case, I think that it's unlikely that dragons are going to be so supersaturated in the meta that dragonfire potion won't be a worthwhile board clear. Dragon decks rarely flood the board anyways, which is what you want this card to do.
