goodnight...
Live, damn it!
I missed you.
Where the hell did you go?
Post progress
Post anything, really
It's been a year since I've been in a maker thread. Did MV take off, or did it turn out to be shit? It came out just before I left and I remember it being a mixed bag.
Any games playable hosted online?
>>159567370
MV has a lot of support and there are a ton of scripts available by now.
I enjoy working with it.
We are deader than usual
Guess it still needs some time before people show up
>>159567370
I saved this for you. Everything in it is just as true today as it was in February except that there is a fair share more plug-ins these days.
>>159574363
MV still can't handle stable 60 fps?
>>159577664
I doubt it ever will. The language it's written in is too slow. Nicer rigs do better at tackling hurdles, but the Transfer Player event, for example, always eats up FPS no matter how nice the PC. The more things you try to do, the bigger the map, the longer the event, etc., the greater the impact. MV will never be as fast as Ace.
That isn't to say its godawful. Even a shitty laptop can hold 60 while standing still and while moving around (generally). It's just when you want things to happen that you start to notice the dips.
What do you think about romantic interests in games?
Do you like them if they are well done?
>>159581890
>Do you like X if it's well done?
Yes.
Tell me something about your MC.
Is he a self insert from either the dev or for the player?
Is he relevant to the plot? A Chosen One or something like that?
What is his motivation for taking on the adventure?
Which weapon does he use?
bump
Why do you try so hard to die?
>TFW used to post here with progress months ago, but got a job and haven't made any progress since and now want to start over completely
I've missed you, /rpgmg/. I'm starting from square one and writing everything about my game down on paper before I start anything real.
>>159594056
I'm busy trying to figure out ranged Line of Sight and blocking LoS in a tile-based sRPG. Shit's not easy, yo.
Pro-tip:It's working.
The other /rpgmg/ thread ahead by 5 hours.

>doesn't have /rpgmg/ anywhere in the OP
No wonder it slipped through the filter. Shit thread, tbqh.

what game is this pic from
>>159602525
Mine, from a very long time ago. She was an archer, and there was a glitch where if she was garrisoned to defend the walls during a siege, she would preemptively kill any number of enemies solo before they could reach the walls. I posted an example of the glitch, and someone made that image for me ("no mercy" was part of a line said if the defenders kill off the last of the invaders before they can escape. She killed them all.).
>>159602849

>Answering for me.
I was hoping this thread would drop off so that everyone would migrate to theworsethread at >>159526352.
>>159606429
For what it's worth, the game exists as part of >>159610834, but there's no promise it'll ever be finished.
>>159615352
sorry
