I did the same thing for the museum, swarmak was a bitch because i had to do it twice (i fucked up and exposed all the blisters first, removing all checkpoints and starting him at near full health everytime i died), the carrier in the small ass room was the fucking worst and i seem to remember an enclosed room with a lot of pods where you get absolutely bumrushed by swarm and they 1 punch kill your ass. What made that part worse was there was nowhere to run and your only choice was to keep camping in the back and hope you get super fucking lucky. I don't remember this many assraping koments in the old gears except for maybe the mansion defense part in gears 2.

Actually you don't need to activate transformers.
The game really encourages you to do so but all you have to do is just blindfire 1200-1500 bullets with a lancer.
If you don't activate transformers the enemy don't spawn and makes it a lot easier.

Gears of War trailers have always been so great. Looking back now I think I appreciate that one even more now after playing through GoW3. The way Dom looks at the remains of that mother and child and they blow up in his face covering him in ash. At that moment he doesn't even care anymore and is just ready to accept his death, but Marcus and the rest of his friends pull him out of it, and he continues to fight again, even if it's to just keep moving forward. He's the only one covered in ash at the end of the trailer, but he's still fighting beside his squad. The trailer shows Dom being lifted up by his brothers and sisters, but in the end it's Dom who sacrifices himself for his family.

Last night I was in normal pub horde on Gridlock. I was Scout and people were actually letting me do my job. We were on like wave 25, our fabricator was only level 2 but our defenses were at least adequate enough as we weren't having any trouble, and we had 120k power, kek. Well there's no denying your way works well. As it stands now for horde it seems like the strategy is far more important that the class skills themselves. As long as a couple classes have some bases covered then insane is pretty much a walkthrough. Stick to the plan, and you'll be fine sort of deal. Every class still has room for flair and the group will still be fine.

I propose the idea that it would be for the best to build things and just put them right outside your base during horde to be blown up. A base only needs 5 turrets and maybe 4 barriers.

This way you recycle your energy and get to level 4 fabricator faster.

So I bought this game on xbone after only having played gears 1 all the way back in 07. I suck balls and keep getting destroyed, how can I be better? Aiming seems particularly hard and slow, what are your guys sensitivity settings?

Shock sentries are actually pretty good behind barriers. They eliminate the fodder very well and stun anything bigger that might get too close, letting you shred it down with turrets.

Some strategies say decoys are the biggest waste of energy since weapons lockers, other strategies swear by them saying if you let them get destroyed and yada yada yada... who cares? If you're trying to cheese points as fast as you can you would start to have to be aggressive in your fortification deployment because a big part of the points come from how fast you finish the wave. Having them come to you so you can recycle a bit of extra energy seems weak compared to a hard fast plan to knock them down as quick as they spawn.

So I somehow winded up in an all mic german lobby for horde. They keep saying ya and said they wanted trump instead of clinton. I can't understand most of what they say because I don't speak german.

I still think a much better fix to the fortifications bounty exploit would have been to have the fabricator start at certain levels depending on what wave and difficulty you started at. Quite a misfire on their part.

You can play co-op campaign, horde, and the social playlist (unranked mix of game modes). You pretty much can't find a game in the other modes due to no cross play. After searching for peeps for 5 minutes, the search gets cancelled.

It's not dead, it's just that pre update it was way over powered. A lancer can't down a guy in 2 seconds approx. through the body but the Hb could. Now you need to have better-placed shots with the Hb which majority of people just like to aim wildly at their red marker. So, they resort back to the enforcer / lancer where they don't need to aim but just spray.
