For starting out, basically take it easy and learn the maps you like.
Make sure to make builds that make sense. Get skills to boost your chosen weapon type and choose scorers pounding perk deck to level. For god's sake don't use Rogue with anything but a suit.
Play easy difficulties first. Even if you're an FPS veteran, at least don't try to jump into Deathwish+ games at level 0-47
Always go for head shots; they're very important for dealing with the horde and maintaining ammo effieciency.
Don't be a lazy cunt and ignore downed teammates. Those 30 seconds pass quickly and if you just take potshots at cops three feet away from me I'll hate you
Doctor bags work like medkits in Legt For Dead. A player can usually go down a few times before they're taken into custody. Doctor bags renew your downs too, so don't just eat them up to top off your health if you haven't gone down.

i managed to configure custom decks with secondaries for my Profile 1 and 2 from the main menu, switch between them (inventory menu and preplanning), and play a full stelts with custom/secondary all without crashing

this does not support naming/saving custom decks independent of the multi profile manager. i probably won't implement something like that because it sounds like a pain in the ass

The Meta as far as I see is Raven, Mosc/Joceline, and the Breaker above all, personally I use the Raven the most, along with the Joceline and the Steakout.

I'm also a shitter and have a lua mod to make the Predator do the same damage as the Raven, so I use that too even though the rest of the stats make it a downgrade

OVERKILL is just a front for Starbreeze, they are basically the exact same company, and are all Starbreeze employees, and Starbreeze management can and does shuffle staff around as it sees fit, like how when Dead by Daylight started making more money than anyone expected, they shuffled a large chunk of staff to work on DbD instead of PD2.

Starbreeze shared the rights to PD with 505 Games, and they bought the shared amount back from 505 Games with some money and promise of future profits from a future PD3 they may or may not make.

As long as OVK is working on PD2, Starbreeze will always be in the equation. Because they're the only variable in the equation. They ARE the equation.

When I host people will join like normal, the progress will stall at 96%, and then they timeout and d/c. I can join games as per the usual but hosting is giving me the shits for some reason.

They are crashing.

This is a common crash problem where somebody tries to join a heist and then crashes when they're almost done loading for some reason.

If you tried to join pubs, you'd probably run into the same problem every once in a while. Happens more often if this is the first heist you join right after starting the game.
