Do Headhunters in between crate missions. Every HH will pay back a 3-crate shipment with 2k to spare, so by the time you sell your warehouse you've already cut into that 250k to fill it up.

It varies anyway so no point getting specific with the math. You might lose shipments, your pay on VIP missions varies and you get a 3% bonus for every rival CEO and like 1% for every player not in a group, giving you potentially like a 30% bonus, which is pretty damn substantial. Try to get as many of your friends as possible to become rival CEOs/presidents for you.

Also I'm still not convinced that crates are particularly better for the money than PacStan, seems like it takes more than twice as long to fill a large warehouse as it does to complete the setups, for about twice as much money (after costs) assuming you never fuck anything up. Also far more risk. Only real benefits I can see to it are that you can technically solo it (though it becomes even more of an intolerable grind if you do so) and that you can team it with MC work if you want, letting your stock counter run up while you collect crates.

I prefer to just team MC work with PacStan instead, can even just alt-tab the setups if I want to be a particularly lazy shit. Hack is the only one that actually requires every member to move from the starting point, and even there it's simply a matter of waiting until you get warped to the vans and stepping in the black one for a second before getting out and hitching a ride in the white, and alt-tabbing again. Pretty sure stock does not go up when you're actually in missions, but you'll get a small trickle while waiting between setups and during the 50~min cooldown.

Oh, in the interests of correctness I may as well mention that yes, I know Convoy also requires you to move, but usually you can just hitch a ride in someone's car at the start and be carried to the checkpoint where you're required to meet up.
