I was playing some Rance today, accidentally discovered something the uncut anons might like. Next time you fap, particularly if you were planning to go without lube, soak the head in water. Here's a post-blitz Agireda cap (I think the Infected are evidence of that? If not I made another screenshot showing that this was an attack on the Demon Army). Now I can sit down and clear her just to prove a few things to myself. Too bad that I've wasted so much time that I really mustn't fap. Fucking Agireda, it's no wonder that I've only cleared her once. To memory I've only capped her twice, and those were all in challenge runs where I don't even think I kept a save of the cap.

There's a few reasons the cap took so long.
1) Sheer cap probability, every time I tried to get her without Light Attack I simply failed.
2) Appearance chance, the Demon Army's got like 60 commanders.
3) Lack of ability to force the Demon Army to show the commanders that I want to see. This was a save from a 5 Star run (it was the closest save that I had to Agireda which didn't also have something I didn't want like a dead brother) so I couldn't lower enemy troop/commander count much.
4) Agireda is a genuinely difficult unit to get to 0 troops, particularly when she's coupled with bullshit units like those hit-all magic fuckers.
5) The Soul Binder fucked me. I wish I had some sort of proof, but I could fucking sware that she disabled both Omachi and my Light Attacker in the same turn, which just happened to be a turn in which I got Agireda to appear... I didn't even think the Soul Binder could do that outside of the Demon King route.

To the best of my knowledge, it's intended. It's probably in place to prevent you being unable to capture people that you get from conquers. Just because someone's a scrub that lets their prison fill up with generics doesn't mean that Alicesoft should deny them Natori or the Shimazu bros.

What's the alternative? It's a 5 Star run and she's over 9k troops.
Kenshin and Uruza are a must, not using them means that the enemy units will eat up your turns and Agireda will be able to do as much damage to you as her flags allow.
Mamsume is also a must - I needed someone with Light Attack (my attempts to catch her any other way simply failed, and I was already sick of reloading to encounter her).
That puts me down to 3 slots for damage dealers. I can't think of any other reliable and available way to make up that much damage than Omachi+Natori+Dousan. Switching Omachi out for a Foot would have you in a tight spot, since you'd either have to get Natori's Miko Storm 2 off 4 times with Dousan restoring them or you'd have to get it off 3 times and hope that Kenshin's Commander Charge along with your other minor sources of damage Accurate Shots make up the remaining 10% of Agireda's troops. I'm not saying that it's impossible, just unlikely. The other option would be to switch out Natori or Dousan, but I can't think of any good replacement.
Also, having my front row be cut down is actually preferable to having the Foot. If Mamsume lived, I'd have to waste 2 turns to get rid of his actions on top of the wasted turns guarding with the Foot.

In my case I think it is going to be one of the new IPs, because Rance X looks like it's going to be one of the last releases of 2017 and I don't think that they want to release another nukige by Onigiri-kun after Heartful Maman.

Beat 3 seems like it'll take a while also because HIRO has been sick.

I think the Evenicle team game is more likely to come out before the remake team game since Evenicle came out before Rance 03. Though it depends on a ton of factors like how complex one game is compared to the other and such. There was only a few months difference in the release times, so it could be either way.

I don't think they confirmed those games would come out in 2017, so even if Rance was at the end of the year, those games might not come out.

Thanks anon, I'll put that on the Wiki sometime. That probably explains why I only ever noticed her taking out two units on my Demon King route saves. I must've even timed my tests perfectly, since I'm sure I've done things before where I made note of the disablings before entering the DK route and then done the same after entering the route.

So MMOs are Mobages? The last one I played was runescape like 10 years ago and it was all grinding with 0 substance. I remember hearing that the creator of the Ultima series wanted to create the next installment using kickstarter or another one of those sites, he stated that he wanted to get back to basics with the new installment if backed, "but don't worry, we'll have fetch quests to gather X of any thing dropped from monsters". I wanted to punch him in the face when I heard that since that's the lowest common denominator among quest types. I hope someday they're will be another game like Majora's Mask where every side quest has an impact on the overarching story somehow.
