Where did you guys learn how to correctly tank in mythic+? Kiting, what trash to skip etc.
I'm playing prot pala and really want to push my ilvl which could be hard if I fuck up as tank on M+ especially on maps like CoS. It is a goddamn maze.

I don't play a mage but I can tell you this anyways

viable in completely pure single target: all 3 specs

viable in more raid fights with some adds but still lots of boss dps: still all 3 but you'll be doing a lot more as fire and arcane than frost

viable in M+: pretty much fire really, arcane goes oom and frost has gone from having the best aoe to the worst over the course of wod and this xpac coming out of mop

that all said though, I'd consider raiding as arcane and keeping a fire wep about 7 art levels lower or so with all the aoe traits (or w/e you got in it now) and then going arcane for raids

most the top raiders aren't swapping because they're already invested in their fire artifacts and they're trying to get that lvl 35 5% dmg bonus (also helya is an add fight)

then it's just figuring out your kill count and some trial and error like saying, oh this mob was a pain in the ass this time, lets skip him and pull somewhere else the next time, so a lot of it just comes down to memory

and then kiting is the same as it's always been, you slow and run

and if you think cos is a maze then uhhhhh, I can't help you, it's basically a map from final hallway XIII with a shortcut (also be sure to check for the construct off-switch)

it really depends how lucky you get with affixes and the dungeon

like if you get tyrannical dht/cos/tov, you'll probably wipe on one of the bosses and it'll be more for completion unless your group is really solid at pressing defensives and dps

but if you're on sanguine/overflow/tyrannical week, basically everything but those will be pretty 2chestable as no mechanics are stopping you from chainpulling with those affixes

or if you pull +10 brh and someone has a dk alt, even after the nerfs to control undead in there, you'd be surprised by how 3chestable that is

that all said though, the dps check jump from 9-10 is insanely large, so if you have trouble with the 9 (you probably will this week since it's necro unless your tank has a lot of xp, teeming/fort really depends on the dungeon, so that's luck)

like this week would be a pretty easy +10 dht or cos or vault or eoa, but fuck teeming fortified arcway and nelth's

That's just it though, if you make legacy servers...there is no progression. They'd be stuck as a vanilla server, or a vanilla and BC server, or a Van, BC and Wrath server...they won't progress. That's why they don't have sustainability. People would play for a month or three then quit.
