Can anyone tell me how easy it is to switch or pick up new champs when you're already good at the game?

I have a special kind of autism that makes it really difficult for me to play the same 1-2 champs literally every game. After about 5-6 games (even if I'm stomping) I just want to change it up, this is compounded when the champ is super simple/boring. I really want to git gud and finally try and make something of myself in ranked next season but to do that I have to actually git gud.

My plan is try and spam games nonstop with generic shitter-proof champ for at least 100 games until I genuinely feel like I'm good at the role and then if its plausible, make the switch to the character(s) I like with my newfound understanding of the game/mechanics making the switch easier.

For example last season I tried to make nidalee jungle work but my mechanics just weren't good at all, I couldn't do shit outside of the actual clear (which I did really well, but nothing else). My record on her was something like 4-19 even though she was my favorite. In theory I would use some shitter like amumu that's impossible to fuck up, and just really focus on learning the core mechanics like map awareness, where/when to gank, etc and then when I have that down switch to nid and it'll be a lot easier since all I'd need is to re-learn the mechanics of the champ and the fundamentals of the role are already learned.

Does this make sense?? Would it work? Not just for nid/jungle but for any role.

Well I think it sort of helps with overall strategy, but you really need to understand the specifics of your champion, and what to do on them. Amumu and Nidalee play very differently at all stages of the game, so if you learned how to play Amumu well you wouldn't necessarily be good at nid

I am plat two with a solid 3-4 champs top (Jax, YasWHOA, Darius, and Olaf). If my team needs someone like AP or true tank, I don't find it hard to switch to Maokai or if they need someone with AP i can do fairly well with Morgana or Liss top. Jungle is different, since all you really need to know is how to clear efficiently your first time, and providing some form of pressure (ganks, wards, stealing camps) in the early game while you scale.

If I were you I would watch iwilldominate or wingsofdeath, they do random shit all the time when they aren't tryharding

Not only are they gimmicky, they add a dynamic to jungle fights that isn't very interesting nor necessary to be an addition.

The RNG aspect is the worst part. No one is going to think "damn he outplayed him with the blast cone plant". They're going to be thinking "damn that guy got lucky with the blast cone plant being there".

You want a good version of the blast cone concept? Fucking dragon knockback is it. People actually appreciate it as an outplay when someone hits the dragon to knockback someone on the other side in order to get away, because it's not RNG based and it's a tactical move someone makes.

Besides that, most of the time the best strategic move someone could make is to clear those plants before a fight happens. All it adds is frustration and a new, unnecessary dynamic to fights.

The losing team would want to get rid of plants so the enemy doesn't have full vision control over their jungle or have an easy way to engage or catch someone out (Another problem is that ranged champions have a huge advantage in being able to proc those effects).

The winning team would want to get rid of the plants so the enemy isn't able to regain their vision control and orient themselves properly while also having a way to disengage or escape fights.

So the only smart move is to really clear the jungle of plants when you can so it can't be used against you. No one is going to really be thinking "Oh I'm going to leave this alive because it might help me" because while the flow of a fight can be predicted, the pathing of a fight can't be predicted in such a small area.

Yes you'll have a general idea of where it'll go, but you won't have a specific idea of how it'll go, so you'd rather not risk the plants being up.

While the spawn is random, the position and timing are not. You know every 2 minutes you can go to the rune spot and take a rune. Your opponent knows that as well. Some are more useful than others, sometimes you get a regen rune at full, others while you're near dead. An illusion rune isn't always great, though it gives vision. Haste, Invisibility, and double damage are all powerful, but not always at the right time.

To be fair, since his stick does the growing thing. His Q could be a bit longer ranged like J4 Q.
His W could spawn 3 clones that run in the target direction in a cone (think TF's Q but with clones). A nice addition would be to somehow choose which of the 3 clones is the real Wu so you can initiate from either direction.
His E is a bit generic, but for it's purposes, it's generally fine as is with the AoE and attack speed.

I reckon that would fill the "annoying as fucking possible" quota pretty well.

In my opinion, I don't find it hard to pick up new champs in the way that I can just see what the skills do on the spotlight etc and instantly understand how they work and in situations they're useful.
The practice comes in making use of those skills in the different phases of the game with different matchups, team comps and the like. After playing for as long as I have that's pretty much the only practice I need to do.

If that's the same thing you're talking about, then to be honest, you probably just need to watch a couple of video's of someone clearing the jungle with Nid as it seems your mechnics would be fine, it's just your method that's wrong.

Both Kalista and Azir are representative of a period where in hindsight I think we tunnel visioned too much on uniqueness at the expense of some aspects of game health (overloaded kits) and skill floors. That's resulted in some champs who have really cool stuff on their kits, but have been challenges to balance for regular play versus top tier play. My take is that there are solid concepts there, but that the execution on them needs some work (reducing unnecessary strengths primarily, and putting that power into other parts of the kit, giving clearer weaknesses to play around).

As what, Soraka support? Map awareness is key. Be sure to not overextend early game too as her heals are like 7sec cd. Don't just rely on sightstone, buy pink wards frequently as they get killed. Analyze your opponents, see their movement patterns so you can land your "q" for life steal to heal allies endlessly. it's actually just a big package of nerfs to add "counterplay"
and by counterplay they mean making it impossible to assassinate someone even when ahead
say what you want about fizz/ekko/zed/live leblanc but they're the only assassins approaching anything near a good design philosophy. if they're going to add lazy artificial delays to burst the assassins have to have some way to survive past that delay. otherwise you'd just play fucking syndra and 1shot someone with a point and click ability, while also having insane waveclear

Ashe/Mf in the adc role. They are pretty simple to play and can carry hard. Nunu/Amumu jungle are pretty strong in lower elo. Annie mid is pretty simple and her ult is game changing. Stay away from top/sup if your gonna try to carry.
