I didn't have any issues killing enemies in BF3/4/Overwatch but in BF1 I lose each and every firefight. I can damage the enemy about 85 points but they are always the one shooting me dead first. I don't understand what the fuck is going on. Also the network indicator shows I'm dropping packets but that is not a problem in other games.

This is so fucking frustrating. Surely I'm not alone.

Thanks for tips. I played recon a lot and it just doesn't work. Shooting guy 2-3 times to torso and he doesn't die, runs up to me and 1 shots me while loading.

Assault seems to work and turning zoom to 2x then just hip firing as well... but even then it seems to be very random. That said there are people with good kill ratios and whatever so I guess it's my connection or I suck.

Is there anyway to fix the abysmal performance of this game? Playing on a 4690k with a 1070 and at 1440p ultra I'm averaging like 60 FPS, with some dips into the 40s and 50s, when most benchmarks show that I should be averaging well above that.

No. Make sure you have latest drivers and 'maximum performance' enabled in power settings.

Otherwise I think 1070 is too little for 1440p. It's not that much better than 1080p, get over the shilling. But anyway make sure you are using 'fast' vertical sync too. And 'high' isn't that much worse than 'ultra'. Also try between DX11 and DX12. I can't even play with DX12 as that freezes my whole computer but DX11 no problems...

GTX1080 runs like 20-30% load whjile running ultra.

According to most benchmark sites I should be averaging 80-90 FPS at 1440p Ultra, now my i5 4690k is no i7 6700k, but that shouldn't make for a 30+ FPS difference. I have a Gsync monitor, so thats gonna be a no on the fast vertical sync. I've also noticed no real FPS gain while the game is set to high vs. ultra, which leads me to believe something's up.

Anyone else getting bored? I just platinumed the game and really have lost all motivation to continue playing. Not to mention the honeymoon phase oassed for me and I am starting to see the games flaws.

How do I get good at the game?
I lose all my duels.
When i'm shooting at someone in close range my bullets do their best to dodge the guy.

Could be CPU bottleneck or misconfiguration. Have you checked graphs while running the game - run GPU and CPU graph alongside while playing the game and see which one spikes up when you get low fps.

Or you might have just bullshit processes running in the background. Or nvidia shadowplay or shit like that. Also make sure you are not using Origin cover (similar to steam overlay) that might help too. Also do you have SSD or HD... maybe that's one isue.

I've disabled both Shadowplay and Origin cover with no real FPS benefit, the game is installed on an SSD. I'll have to try the CPU and GPU graph, but my GPU has been sitting at around 70-80% usage and I've already tried the user.cfg fix for 100% CPU usage.

-Learn when to ADS vs hipfire since hipfire is viable in this game (you can't see shit in ADS firing for some automatic weapons).
-Make sure to approach enemies and suspected enemy emplacements at favorable angles to give yourself as much cover as possible.

Basically Mondragon is slow, you have to stand still but kills in 3 shots always.
Auto whatever is spam canon that's decently accurate but it's one kill per magazine.

Late response but a 1070 should be fine for 1440p, at least if you aim for 60 fps. I have a 970 and have the game at mostly ultra 1440p (just no AA, ssao instead of hbao) and I still get smooth 60 fps. Very rarely does it dip below 60, and even when it does it only goes to ~50. I do have a 6600k cpu as well, which probably helps. I have zero complaints about performance in this game.

Should I get Titanfall 2 alongside to complement BF1. Suez operation finally sold me this game, it was tense and kind of photorealistic. Hiding behind dune when 10 guys are running towards you and your rifle runs out of ammo. Cool moments. Few years from now they will replace the sprite effects with real volumetric effects and that will enhance the realism a lot. But that'll be in few years, perhaps not even then.

How much you have ram? If you have 16+ gigs make sure you disable windows 10 swapfile completely (of course unless you do some real work with your pc but in gaming you shouldn't need any page file at all and if you are doing real work you'd have 64+ gigs of memory and even then having page file is just.. dumb).

Also if you are running Windows 10 I recommend you to install both OOSU10 and W10Privacy to disable the spyware elements.
