When you compare how Juri came out in V to let's say every initial character from the launch roster or Balrog she feels so unfinished.

Not only I feel she's badly designed (useless V-Skill when you have a specific special that may be used for the exact same purpose but faster and cancellable into CA, badly thought-out V-Trigger) but she's also badly optimized (AA Mk Pinwhell kick that doesn't always work and gets stuffed quite often, bad cr.hp AA unless you are in V-Trigger since it expands its hitbox for some reason, a -2 fireball which is a blasphemy for Juri in general, bad Fuhajin charges).

If I was behind the character balancing I would just rework her gameplay from scratch.

Because other excellent iterations of SF had mechanics that made them stand out in a good way. For example, ST had safe on block supers, which is pretty revolutionary. The legendary 3S has air parries, which brings the hype to any match. Alpha 3 had air blocking and V-ism, which put a whole other spin on the genre with neat loops. Then there's USFIV which had focus, which created a brand new form of fully defensive gameplay.

Does SFV have anything like that? No, so in all honesty it just can't stand up to the others.

Overwatch's tickrate problem was a combination of shitty hitboxes as well as the actual tickrate, the end result being that you would get headshot around corners

SFV's 8frame shit is more like, there are 60 frames every second, a character like nash can dash forwards or backwards and the entire animation is 15 frames long, and then the startup of throws is 5 frames, so basically from the start you can see it you have 1/3rd of a second to not get thrown, but because it takes 8 frames between you pressing a button and the game actually responding to that button, on top of the lag from the television or monitor you're playing on which can be about 10 frames, it's more like you have about 1/7th of a second to react or your input won't reach the game in time to avoid the throw.

He kept cornering himself after anti-airing successfully for some reason, thats a huge mistake by itself.

Not going for the meaty attack on Ryu's landing was another mistake.

The double backdash into the corner was yet another big mistake.

That was textbook silver play by him, the damage he took was justified.

But still, Ryu used all of his meter and filled Rashid's V-trigger to full at the same time, so considering how shit both players are, I wouldn't be surprised the least if Rashid actually won't this round easily.

Light and medium buttons are ok as they are, they do light damage but give you a 50/50.

Heavy buttons should do way more though.

Bison's cr.HP should definitely crush counter and allow for a juggle follow-up. Because as it is, the risk-reward ratio for anti-airing with heavy buttons isn't worth it.

Urien's cr.HP is a good example, it requires timing but gives you more damage in return. Because you can combo into hp fireball and charge, or you can also do v-trigger or even CA.
