However, the game doesn't model the Treaty of Tordesillas... the stuff you find in the game looks nothing like that. It isn't about the "whole uncivilized world", it isn't an agreement for Iberian powers, it doesn't even respect the borders of RL Tordesillas treaty.

It's actually not easy, from a programming point of view. Shit like compression etc. just literally split the task into 4 or 8 pieces to be run in parallel by identical processes and pointers but EU4 would probably need a complete redesign to actually allocate what amounts to 4 or 8 assembly pointers instead of just 1.

The way computers work is that if you have say 2 processes needing CPU time and only one core, your OS allocates the CPU to rapidly 'jump' between tasks like a psuedo-multitask, like if you pat your head once, then rubbed your belly a little, then pat your head once, etc.
Multi-core allows you to actually do both at once by making one 'brain' do the rubbing and the other the patting.
The problem with multicoring something like EU4 is that as far as the computer gives a shit, it's only one action, patting your head. Paradox would need to split EU4 up in the source code, assign pointers, and basically tell the computer why, in fact, patting your head is actually four parallel actions. The key is parallel: raising and lowering your hand aren't happening at the same time so it doesn't benefit from multicore. PDox needs to give seperate instructions to your shoulder, back, arm, and wrist muscles and make sure they don't overlap.

So while testing stuff with my minimod I came across a modifier. "No land connection to capital" -0.01 militancy

Now I think this is a good idea, but I very much doubt that HPM wanted to give less militancy, I think he wanted to give them more militancy. As it is right now POPs who have no land connection to your capital somehow get LESS militancy, not more.

It's under common/static modifers - overseas = { assimilation_rate = -0.3 pop_militancy_modifier = -0.01 }

You should get rid of the minus there.
