Mine's purely subjective, but I base it on how popular a character is outside of the game. In my mind, a popular character stays in people's imagination regardless of how strong they are in the current meta. Old Fiora had it, Ahri definitely has it, Ezreal, Jinx, Annie, Teemo, Yasuo- these are characters that transcend pick rate. Contrast that with say Kennen or Kalista- champions who only show up in people's imaginations because they're currently being played a lot. That kind of staying power is what I consider to be the mark of a truly popular champion.

I main Top, but Jungle is my secondary Lane and I think I see where the issue is.

First off, get rid of the "all my lanes feed" mentality. I'm aware that it FEELS that way, but it isn't happening. Yes I know it's not easy, but gitting gud is never easy.

As Jungler, you should only camp a lane if you're getting something out of it. Jax into Fiora and every time you gank Jax follows up? THAT is a lane you camp the shit out of.

Don't feel like you HAVE to stomp the early game. If you're low elo (which I'm guessing you are) then nobody fucking knows how to close a game out anyway. Focus on farming, doing drag at ideal times, ganking easy lanes and you'll pretty much autowin games, Jungle is very strong right now.

Also not sure if you've heard this one or not, NEVER gank for a retard no matter how much he whines. Mute him if you have to.

Needs more female yordle champions that are on the noxian side.

Humanoid characters do really stick out more for marketing purposes. It's good to have a Cho'gath or Nocturne on some banners to show your game isn't all humans, but they are the best ones to market your game

MTG did that a few years ago. The game had somewhat "hidden" main characters because you had to play the game to know who the fuck was Urza and such. They added Planeswalkers, relatable characters they could plaster everything for popularity and it worked. It worked so well they are now staples and there's a big overarching story about their team that defends the multiverse and shit

As much of a meme it is to say Jungle is the most difficult role it's the truth.

Your jungler needs to have the greatest game sense on the team, just like your ADC should have the most mechanical skill.

As a jungler you need to control the flow of the game. You can't play reactively like I've seen far too many do, you can't play passive, and you can't play binary. You should always be doing something or looking to do something. Pushing for dragon. Pressuring a turret. Forcing a lane bully to play more passive.

Camp lanes that are ahead, not ones that are behind. Help your laner push down a turret if they perform better in fights than in lane. Don't just look to do drake after you kill someone, carry pinks and try to sneak it, same with Baron. Always maintain some level of vision, ward smarter not harder. Wards deep in the enemy jungle are invaluable if you place them right.

If you see the enemy jungle gank a lane, clear out their jungle and ward. Always ping the enemy jungler when they pass over a ward. And always try to keep in mind where they might be. Ignorance is your greatest enemy as the jungler. You're not competing against the enemy jungle like a laner would, you're molding the game and they're just an obstacle.

There's so much junglers can do that make or break games but most of them just camp a lane and gank through river, backing away if the enemy lane has vision. Don't play jungle if you do this, it's not for you.

If he hits 3 abilities on you its pretty high, Q is crazy good if you are in melee, decent if not. Rake is easier to dodge, Q either gap-closes or auto-crits(for some reason). ult is the same as it was.

Like the other dude said, his new E is crazy good for escapes and ganks. Though I think its a little overblown honestly, its great for tower-dives though. most other jumps put you right where junglers gank anyway.

He doesn't work as a support because his passive is literally wasted there. The plant theme has already been done better in Zyra and Maokai. Honestly a wasted piece of development time and resources. Like all characters that don't have a damage budget in all 4 abilities, his passive is crazy fucking strong to consolidate it.

W is worse because its way more situational, the heal is way less powerful than it was, same with losing the MR and armor. You take more damage and only regain what was the last hit you took basically, rather than a flat amount that scales really well in the early and mid-game while still being useful in the late game. It'll be useful say if you get blasted by an AP for half your HP, you could regain half of that instantly but overall it hurts his lane and jungle by a large margin. Yeah his Q is just a straight damage ability now so he does some burst but has ass sustain.

He doesn't feel like Rengar at all anymore. Plust his bonetooth is worse now(probably for the best) can't lane him anymore and expect to get gains. He's jungle only again.

if you have 100 lethality, it equals 40 flat armor pen and 60 armor pen at lv 18. at lv 1 you'd have 43 armor pen, at 6 you'd have 60, level 12 80, lv 18, 100.

duskblade scales specifically with lethality, not with it's effective armor pen.

Hi I play a lot of Talon. Talon has a lot more bad matchups than Zed because of how bad his lane is and is unpickable against a handful of supports. Any character with a health buff or a shield like Lulu or Janna will counter him unless he's very fed.

The reason you probably don't see him much is because nobody wants to put up with his terrible laning phase when you can just pick Zed and not want to shoot yourself for the first 5 levels. He is a good pick against Yasuo who's very annoying, only trouble is windwall will delete your entire ultimate if even one blade touches it. If you can bait that first you win.
