how do I inject FBI into H&S. I already have a9lh installed so I am at the part in the guide where in inject it. It's vague and only says to dump HS and then immediately inject it. I doesn't make sense.

So HENkaku R7 makes it possible to dump from 3.61 carts (possibly because of the version string spoof) so I was able to get a dump of the EU assets of Root Letter and restructured the cpks so they would work with the japanese eboot. It works mostly fine apart from O and X button prompts being reversed and text cuts off like pic related sometimes.

I'm uploading what I've done so far, hoping someone more knowledgeable can fix things. (currently 35% uploaded, about 45 minutes left)

Reboot and get into homebrew launcher and then into saviine.

'install' it and then return to home menu.
Pop in your smash disc and start saviine on your computer.

This may be the only way to get your save, if its still there.

Updating my two 3ds' from RXtools to Luma. First was a simple two minute thing since it was just menuhax,(makes me wonder why I put it off in the first place). The second however is on SysNAND 4.5 that currently uses MSET. The thing is, I had downgraded it to that from its original firmware and I'd heard that that could affect running Luma. Is this true and if so is there anything I can do about it? Also, since I'm on this firmware anyway, should I just go about getting a9lh on it first?

My SD card keeps prompting me to scan for errors whenever I put it in my pc, even after I scan it. I want to set up a9lh, but I don't know if I should format my card before doing so because of this. I have menuhax and a cfw on it right now, will those still work if I transfer them to my pc and put them back on after a format?

Excellent, I kinda got it working, but I don't have the time (or programming knowledge to do it quickly) Text shows up in the log even without doing this, so if you don't care about that, it seems playable as is

The problem is that the Japanese version stops displaying the line after 54 characters, unless there's a line break to make it move the line down. The text is stored in the PCSB01019\Media\StreamingAssets\GAME\script.cpk at script\text\data\XXXX.dbin as UTF-8 encoded text, null terminated for each line (meaning each line ends with a 00 byte) Line breaks are designated a 0A byte (in place of a space) so I moved where the line breaks for this particular line were and tested, it works, but to get the game fully working, this will need doing for every line with more than 54 characters.
