Its win rate only crawls up in Masters because it preys on decks like Elana and PtP Forest which're way more common in that league.

It's a tournament deck built with their meta in mind. Atomy lands fairly consistently on turn 4 and in Christmasland, turn 3 which gives him at least one turn of relative impunity before anything in their meta has an answer.

An evolved Atomy swing does 10 damage which opens decks to Cerberus Howl combo alone. Death's Breath and late Atomy gives you reach and the ability to contest Haven builds that run wild. You do have to understand that the deck was built with specific intentions though so I wouldn't netdeck it because regular aggro Shadow is effectively all the way up to A rank because control is uncommon and you're positive against all aggro match ups.

Play a couple of games against the chapter 7 AI's and you'll notice they get perfect starting hands and perfect draws, constantly.

It's 8 for 5 vs. 10 for 5 and Goblinmount is much more effectively statted with attack and defense. He can evolve to a 5/9 too.

The 3 damage to board is something you can play around and in any deck that wants him isn't significant.
