You aren't a true control deck, there's no reason to run Odin. Seraph is a bad matchup but that won't help, they have 3 Seraphs you have 1 Odin, you have to beat them by building a board.

Amulets fuck up your board slots, you don't want to play them past turn 1 and 2 so Prism Priest can be complete garbage except in Control matchups. You need all 5 slots.

Rune is the literal worst class in Arena. If you got a playable deck and 4 wins count yourself lucky.

Rune has major issues with synergy in Arena, Earth Rites and Spellboost don't play well together, and you're much better off prioritizing Earth Rite synergy for the actual good cards like Remi and Rami and that 7 mana make two 4/4 golems card.

Curate is more for burst healing against aggro, and turn 7 is really when you need that burst healing. She also buffs your team immediately instead at the end of turn. Lucifer is a versatile card that can buff your shit or deal 4 points of burn when you evolve him, and that second part is very important against control.

Actually that Face dragon list that's going around is legit bad. Even if it's serviceable in this meta it runs so much low power level shit and often it just plays like a bad version of aggro Blood. It's just a cheese "out aggro the aggro with bad fast cards" strategy.

Honestly I think the card pool is just too small. Net decks are always going to be a thing, but any game will be solved given enough time and overall there really aren't so many sensible strategies available with the current option. Only so many win-cons, only so many aggro variants before some turn out faster.

The game has already proven itself deep enough mechanically that people are turning out new strategies and adapting to the meta a month in. A top tier will exist no matter how large the pool is but rogue decks pop up in Magic and Yugioh often enough that sweep with the advantage of being unknown before they quietly move on. We just need the sets to accommodate this, because Rose Queen and Mordecai have already been tested and stretched way too far out.

Constructed in MtG always favors the player going first, in older formats like Legacy it's a MASSIVE advantage like 20%+. However, matches are best of 3 games and have sideboards to reduce the impact of that.

In limited in MtG it's pretty close, some formats favor going first some favor going second. It also depends on the deck you and your opponent are playing.

In most other TCGs like YGO it's a similar story, player going first has a massive advantage, they also tend to play Bo3s or Bo5s though to help curb that.

Hearthstone is really fucking awful because games are Bo1s but player going first has a MASSIVE advantage, especially in aggro mirrors (which is every game in Shamanstone)

Shadowverse actually has some of the most balanced statistics. Before the second player drew and extra card first player had a ~3% advantage, now the second player has a ~3% advantage. Depends on the decks being played though, aggro decks like going first.

Arena is a bit unbalanced, though. Second player has a much bigger advantage than in constructed. They really need to change arena back to the old card draw rules to make it more fair.

I'd be happy with seeing a set every 3 or so months. Formats are something to worry about later, I enjoy "Standard" formats but I could stand if they just balanced everything like Magic Modern or Yugioh Advanced. Let the meta sort itself out, make adjustments and introduce support for weaker playstyles reactively. My ideal meta would be every craft having two viable archetypes.

One thing that always frustrates me about Hearthstone players is that they don't realize how badly supported the game is when the market standard has been a major release every quarter and a minor release every month inbetween for over a decade. When you put simple removal spells in the equation, or even rush/storm, it turns your scenario on its head.
Your spell could effectively read "Gain 1 evolve point" in the situations where you can use it to remove his evolved follower instead of having to counter with evolve.
