“Awesome” Chloe followed. After a bit of rooting around, the mostly full bottle was found in the back of the refrigerator. “Score” Chloe’s eyes lit up. “But where are my manners? Ladies first.”

“Yeah ok, kick off my Sunday shoes” Max took a sip, and then, feeling brave, took a larger swig. She couldn’t help but let out a small cough, the liquor burning her throat. This seemed to amuse Chloe to no end, as evidenced by her outburst of laughter. “Oh stop it Chlo”

Chloe composed herself. “Let me show you how it’s done, Max” she boasted. Chloe threw her head back and tipped the bottle before stopping suddenly. “Wait”

“What?” Max replied, thinking Chloe was reconsidering her brag.

“You have to chant, Max”

“What?”

“You have to chant my name while I do it.”

“Why?

“I don’t know. To psych me up. Just do it” Chloe commanded, before tipping the bottle back once more and beginning to swallow.

“Chloe Chloe Chloe” Max began, feeling silly. “Chloe Chloe Chloe” she continued, impressed. “Chloe Chloe Chloe” her voice became louder and quicker with each repetition. “Chloe Chloe Chloe” The bottle was nearly empty, and Max was nearly shouting. “Chloe Chloe Chloe” The last of the liquor disappeared down Chloe’s throat, and Max cheered. “Yeahhhh”.

“Fuckkkkkkkkkkk” Chloe wheezed, exhaling the contents of her lungs.

“Damn!” Max exclaimed, genuinely impressed by her girlfriend’s prowess.

The best ending. Rachel is really a Vampire and cannot be killed by normal means. She saves Max and Chloe, they become friends, she is honest with Chloe bout everything, plus her new transformation gives her very interesting eyes/skin that photographers love.

Yeah, I felt like the ending was a complete letdown. You have the option to (a) undo every decision you ever made or (b) let hundreds of people die. It's like the writers heard about that "men on two train tracks" philosophical quandary and decided to make a game about it, only with 10 hours of preamble.

The bait-and-switch of choice presented in Life is Strange is terrible and reminiscent of Mass Effect 3. Nothing you did mattered, the ending disregards all of your actions, and it doesn't reflect the cause-and-effect nature of the rest of the game. For me the ending is paramount and when it's THIS bad, it stains the rest of the experience.

I know most of you love this game so I won't go on any longer, but I was seriously let down and needed to vent.

Judging by the damage the Arcadia Bay Tornado is an EF 3 at best. It did not kill hundreds of people.
But even if it killed anyone it's still tragic, but not in a way that Max should feel responsible/guilty about refusing to give up her own love and happiness to try to prevent something she didn't know she was linked to.
Every here agrees with you though: The ending was a crap way to end the game, did not make any sense logically, and was just torturing the characters and calling it something deep. In reality it's entirely shallow and has Max/Chloe not been hit with the stupid-stick by the writers in Episode 4 (And onwards) they would have found a better ending.

Don't feel bad about venting. Over a year later and people here are still doing it on a regular basis.

Sorry the stories a little late. I keep getting distracted by all the dancing skelemans. They're so cool!

BTW I'm writing this whole thing free from so it doesn't really make any sense. Like somehow it's everyones first year but they're all eighteen.

“Colloportus!” Max yells with perfect pronunciation. The padlock moves but doesn't lock. Max’s disappointment can be heard in her exhausted panting. “I don’t get it, my pronunciation was perfect, why isn't this working?” Max removes her black rimmed hipster glasses and wipes away the condensation. Kate looks deep in thought. “Sit down, Max. I’ll make some tea.” Kate returns shortly, the two girls enjoy their first sips of tea for the day. “Max, the only reason a spell won’t work when pronounced correctly is if the casters emotions are unstable. Does this have something to do with Chloe Price?” Max chokes on her tea, her face turns cherry pie red. “You uh… caught that… ‘hella’ earlier?” Chloe Price and Rachel Amber are the most popular girls at Hogwarts academy. On sorting hat day, the sorting hat swiftly placed Rachel in Ravenclaw. When it was Chloe’s turn, the hat, once again, swiftly went to say Ravenclaw. But when Chloe locked eyes with Max, who had already been placed in Gryffindor, the hat interrupted itself. “Raven-,” It was as if by sheer willpower, Chloe had forced the hat to reconsider. Members of the Hogwarts staff were visibly shocked by this, it was like nothing they’d ever seen. The hat eventually stuck to it’s guns and put Chloe in Ravenclaw, but it’s indecision had boosted Chloe to the top of the popularity hierarchy. Since then Kate had noticed Max stealing glances at Chloe in class. Having panic attacks whenever she smiled at her. Fumbling her worlds whenever she said hi. Could that be what this was about? “Max, did you know Chloe before coming here?” Max looked down at her tea, smiling warmly. “Well… we sort of, grew up together.”

Kate looked to the clock on the wall. Second period was about start. Kate felt a nervous knot in her stomach. It looked like they were going to skip second period as well. Though she didn't want the absent mark on her record. She decided helping her friend was more important. She pushed the thought to the back of her mind, took a sip of tea, and tried her best to look calm and attentive. Max continued, “We were best friends actually, but one day Chloe’s entire family just left the town where we lived. I understand now it was because of her dad, but at the time I had no idea what had happened.” Chloe’s father, William Price, is one of the most famous wizards in the world. He is an architect, designing many of the world's most intricate magical buildings. He became famous for exposing one of his clients. The Prescott family had hired William to oversee their real estate plans. He discovered they were embezzling money to build their son his own personal whale tank. Everyone knew their family were corrupt, but any who could prove it were either bought off, scared silent or worse. After testifying in court William and his family were put into witness protection. The court proceedings dragged on forever. When the Prescott's finally went down, the Price family were able to come out of hiding. Their entire family were hailed as heroes. It was big news in the wizarding world. But Max must have only found out recently, after being accepted into Hogwarts academy.

Keeping them grouped together is a bad idea. It results in an echo chamber where they can circlejerk to the idea that they're being oppressed by the muggleborns. If they were separated into houses that didn't subscribe to that bullshit at least a few of the brats might have some sense slapped into them. Alice flew in close to enjoy the smell, she then floated towards the door, someone had to make sure mommy and aunt Max were safe. Kate had never once seen Chloe and Rachel in first or second period. However, without fail, they would arrive late to third period. Smelling of, ehrm, ‘herbal’ smoke. Recreational herbs were heavily prohibited at Hogwarts academy. Chloe and Rachel were talented horticulturists, so it would stand to reason that they were making their own. Samuel had once mentioned an abandoned wing at Hogwarts where he would grow his more precious plants. Away from the recklessness of ne'er do wells. He also mentioned it would be a good place to grow pot. Kate had simply chuckled at this at the time. But like most of Samuel’s seemingly trivial dialogues, it would serve as invaluable information when the time comes. Once they arrived at the abandoned wing Kate asked Alice to, “follow the smell of the smoke.” Alice, using her sick detective skills, quickly lead them to the right door. The smell was palpable “Uh, Kate. Are we buying weed?” “What? No. Come on” Kate grabbed Max’s hand once again, pushing the door open.

The makeup on Chloe looks fantastic, and the choice of a skeleton is fitting considering her various run ins with death (But she and Max always won and sent that bastard packing). Max looks cute and her costume is friendly, but also just revealing enough that Chloe can let her mind (and hands) wander a bit if they find themselves in private. The hanging book is nice too, easily accessible and on some kind of quick detach.
Max is probably one of the few people that would be able to wear such a wide brimmed hat and not look silly.

Well, the most emotional moments are for sure interesting to see, like Kate, the whole alternate reality, chloe getting shot, finding rachael, most of episode 5. I've seen many people break down at multiple points during the game, and it's kind of a powerful moment to experience it with them. It's not only fun watching for the really emotional reactions though. The game has such a rich and comfy atmosphere, and seeing someone experience all that for the first time really makes you feel comfy for them in a weird empathetic way, but also since it reminds you of when you first played.

Chloe attended Blackwell at least a year prior, so it's possible they overlapped (it's still not really clear exactly how Blackwell works in this regard). It's clear that Chloe wasn't a total stranger around Blackwell - she was certainly around when Rachel was attending (who attended at the same time as Victoria), she was friendly with other students (Trevor and the rest of the skater boys), she was familiar with Kate Marsh, etc. And further, given that Chloe's mom was seemingly a popular figure in the community, and Madsen was the head of Blackwell security, there's a good chance that many of them might know Chloe simply through gossip/reputation.

As for the funeral itself, I always just assumed that most of the students were there to be supportive of Max? Especially Warren and Kate. The two sk8er bois were friends with Chloe, so it makes sense that they're there (Dana too, given that she's best girl and also dating one of sk8er bois).

Victoria's attendance is really the odd one out. Presumably her and auto-pilot Max just managed to reconcile during the week over the loss of Chloe and Nathan's involvement?
