You guys told me that solo competitive matchmaking is balanced and that I shouldn't worry.

I am in the higher percentage of platinum and simply wanted to try solo queuing for once. In my first game we got a symetra main that refused to change his character and yelling in Russian the whole time when he died because he couldn't take Reinhardt down himself. I thought he was trolling but when I looked at his profile he had played the game only 12 hours and only 30 mins of it was with symmetra. I am really confused I played the game for 200 hours now and I am decently well with supports and have a %59 winrate. Is this person really supposed to be my peer?

This is not being salty at all, if any of you know more about the inner workings of matchmaking I would gladly like to hear you out. How does stuff like this happen?

I just don't see why is there this unwritten mantra that every shooter needs to have a sniper. They're usually extremely gamewarping, frustrating to play and incentivize sitting on your ass doing nothing.

Widow has a lot of problems and her being good is something nobody is really going to enjoy. She is also very uninteresting design-wise as far as OW heroes are concerned.

This is made even worse by having both a PC and console version. If Widow is good enough for console then she's overpowered as fuck in PC.

How is no one annoyed by this piece of shit?

Her "shield" is the strongest in the game, and it's 3D, and projects into a point, completely stopping me from hitting anyone in the room while she is on the other side. The she turns it on and off, and just alternates between shooting and shielding.

Her fucking guns are annoying too, why is she allowed to out dps a reaper? Why is she a threat at all to pharah? I consistently lose 10-15 health per second when Dva is far away, where a reaper wouldn't even harm me. It's fucking irritating.

Her jet boost also makes her annoying, with her incoming buff she will be a more cancerous Winston. Also bitchy knock back and low cd

Reinhardt defining the meta isn't necessarily a good thing. He's a bit of a cornerstone of the game and what a tank should do.

Nothing Reinhardt does really feels unfair, except the Ana combo.

He's a big dude that pushes forward with a shield and is terrifying in close combat.
What he brings to a team is quantifiable and it feels good. It feels good to sit behind his shield, it feels good to have him save your ass, it feels good to get 3k because he stunned everybody.

Every character should be as well designed as Rein imo. He's the bomb.

Dva is as much a tank as roadhog happens to be. You don't use her as an actual tank. She is one of the best counters to Rein just because she can keep the pressure on his shield or she can fly through it and point blank him in the head to instantly delete him. You should be keeping an eye on your booster, jumping in and out like Winston to kill the healer, and attacking from high ground. Her matrix is best used to shut down ults or to save someone from getting gunned down until they get to cover.
