I'm getting it for the bottled nostalgia, and I've never found Call of Duty Multiplayer HORRIBLE, just not something I'd play endlessly. I recommend just leaving AO off entirely even if your GPU can handle it. All it does is add darkness to specific parts of the map which just obfuscates shit even more than the game already does with its lighting system.

Unless they changed something, shading between medium and low only had a 3 frame difference or something like that.
If you bump it up to high, it'll add a fake tessellation effect to some textures, which is what fucks your frames, especially with texture filtering on.
It shouldn't make you lose too much on medium, and it keeps shiny things from looking matte. If you're having issues I wouldn't bother though, it's not that big of a difference.

I've only had issues seeing things with HBAO on, mostly because it adds huge blobs of shadow into certain areas, which actually will fuck you over. With SSBC I haven't had any issues with visibility, and it helps make things pop. Personal preference.

Honestly, Texture Quality is good on Medium, you can do Low if you don't care how pretty the operators look in the victory screen and want huge FPS gainz.

Texture Filtering at 16X and LOD at Ultra is a must when you're playing on lower end hardware with Temporal Filtering on, because of the tradeoff to visibility that TF implies (but you still take it anyway for the performance, unlike what this fag says >>158948653)

Shading can be either on Medium or Low. Shadows are extremely important to have on Medium, because on Low you don't see player shadows and that can be a game changer in many scenarios when the light gives someone away.

Reflections are safe to have on Low. And I also agree with having the later ones Off and TF on.

Guns look very ugly like they have low red textures and missing bump mapping even in ultra. The game looks smeared in Vaseline no matter what. Lighting doesn't look good for some reason.
Plus I get 70+ frames constantly which means graphics are objectively not that great compared to much better looking games like the new Tomb Raider which gives me a semi cinematic 40 fps.

Yes, but not the way you think.
Any operator can be played offensively or defensively. Sometimes I pick Rook just because we need armor, then fat roam.

On top of that, on defense, especially at high levels, the guys sitting on the objective get a lot of kills.

The only way it should affect you is if you pick the same operators over and over again, which leads to habitual gameplay which will eventually screw you

Pulse is good for lurking, you can get yourself some easy kills on House if you stay in the garage and shoot people rappelling up to the roof through the door on round start.

A roamers job is to distract the enemy. Getting kills is a secondary priority. But if the enemy team is sending a guy/two guys after you the entire game, you're helping out your team way more than getting a kill and dying in 5 seconds.

Be unpredictable. If you just killed a guy from second floor, sprint to the other side of the map and hit them from the third floor.

Anyone can roam. Pulse is good because his ability, but its dependent on weapons. Ops with long range weapons are typically good roamers, and people prefer 1 speed so you can hit and run. Thats why people play Bandit/Smoke as roamers so much.

Also, you should always spawn peek, make a lot of noise at the beginning. Even if theres nobody there, they know somebody is roaming and now have to watch out for you. you should never camp in a corner as roamer
