Yes, it fixed nearly every issue including some that most people didn't really think about (Like Titans basically being incredibly tanky in the long-term without much skill involved and Pilots being able to go to town if you weren't paying attention).

Now, Pilots still have a rodeoing mechanic but it's tempered and more interesting: you don't hang out on the enemy Titan for 3 minutes shooting its insides, instead you steal a battery core from it that does some damage and, more importantly, you can bring it to a friendly titan to give that titan a shield.

In place of shields, every Titan gets a defensive ability: Sometimes a shield, Ion gets the classic vortex shield and Ronin gets a invincibility-period phase-dash

especially shotguns, amped EVA-8 just feels way more consistent.
i don't have the turrets, only other thing i tried is the smartpistol, wich is fun but not necessarly good.

It was like that. In certain situation it actually benefited you to immediately eject upon being rodeoed and kill the person. 30 seconds off your timer rather than attempting a ground confrontation or let them build their titan off of you.

Just really need to shill how good the weapons are in the game. Every single one has its own identity/plays NOTICEABLY different from the rest even within its own category.

going from a normal sprint into bunny hopping works, but it's slow and not worth it, bunny hopping doesn't make you faster but makes you lose speed slower.

Two tips:

Fire your thermite launch at a titan's FEET, not the body. The thermite does the damage, not the canister.

Fire your barrels where your enemies will be, not where they are. Try to arc them behind your opponent whenever possible and push them into it with your shield.

Other than that, it's just standard zoning tactics. Retreat to favorable positions as a first order tactic, if you're caught in the open try to direct combat towards a wall or friendlies, and remember to use all of your abilities all the time. They cool down quick, ironically.

It's not about using shit or not shit stuff. It's about performance to skill required ratio. Both Tone and Legion got hitscan weapons (considering how fast shooting and how fast the projectile now on 40mm it might as well be hitscan), with infinite range, with big mags, with defensive skills and Tone also got two dashes.

Use other titans on your team as meatshields, other keep distance from enemy titans. If you're having trouble sighting just hover behind your team to take pot shots. Cluster missile against pilots or if you can guarantee the splash/DoT on titans.

While it was fun and while the mock city fight during Into the Abyss had me sweating bullets because of having to restart if you die at the very end I think I would have had more fun just being able to fly around the whole thing with a shotgun without the risk of dying in 2 hits from an aimbotting specter a mile away.

Why is the Tone so fucking good?

I soloed 3 enemy titans with the fucking rocket salvo/40 mm cannon

How long is the single-player campaign? I'm up to the level right after the time traveling shit, the one that starts with some stalkers coming out of a toxic fog or whatever. Wondering how much is left, and if I can finish it before going to sleep, considering Origin doesn't seem to be getting back to normal any time soon.

From what I have learned from watching people putting up sub 25 vids, you want to:

1. get comfortable with using ADS while wallrunning
2.always keep your screen focused on where you want to go next. Your momentum on walls and such is killed if you look in any direction other then forwards
3. when in doubt, nade the clustered up groups ( the first and third set of soldiers)
4. trust your reticule. You are more precise then you think with hipfire, and you only need to hit them once.
5. You run faster when you wallrun, not when running, in the air, or sliding. Minimize those other things
6.You want to stay at around the same height during the entire course. Going too high requires you to look down to hit the targets, and going too low can make you miss important jumps
7. Use double jump only as a way to quickly get back to wall running
8. While you might be looking forwards, you also want to make sure you are ACTUALLY moving forwards at the most optimal route
9. Avoid staying on some walls too long. You lose speed at a certain point and you stop moving forwards( however little or greatly) when wallrunning around a corner in a direction other then forwards
10. Watch the ghosts and see what they do. Infer from them when is the most optimal to shoot a target.
11. Looking around quicker does help.

I've never been particularly great at aiming in shooters with sticks, and of course M+KB definitely helps. That said, I have definitely been improving on my times by just trying to optimize my routing and such.

That shotgun is really fun though. Sure it may be more work to kill shit compared to other titans, but it's probably the best titan weapon to kill pilots in close range. As long as you learn to pick your fights and when to go in/retreat, Ronin is fucking great.

I was considering buying this now that I know there's going to be no paid DLC.

I haven't played Titanfall 1 but this looked like fun.

If Northstar left clicks in your general vicinity, you die.

Tone's grenades have hitboxes the size of school buses and are OHK. The splash damage means you can push people out of cover intentionally if they're trying to peek you (I have no idea why people try to do this against Tone), and you can be a shitter and miss your schoolbus and still get a meaty amount of damage onto them.

Ion's primary weapon is merely ok, but her shoulder laser is hitscan and OHK.

Scorch's shots have travel time but the fuckhuge AOE means that you can often end up killing pilots when you didn't even mean to.

If Legion happens to have his gun spun up and you poke your head out anywhere, you die. If he's in long range mode, you can be on the other side of the map and you will still die.

Ronin's shotgun is overkill for pilots. It does excel in mulching titans up close but frankly no more so than a whole lot of the other Titan kits.

Seriously, I love Tone to death but she's ridiculously OP compared to all the others. Already I'm seeing hugely disproportionate amounts of her compared to the other Titans, especially when you account for random pubs jumping into the other Titans just to try them/try and get some "easy" xp/try and be hipster.

Her offensive midrange kit with lockons is ridiculous, her wallhax and splash damage on her primary means no pilot is truly safe, and her wall is the most potent team defense tool any Titan has.

Honestly if they can't get their shit together and get the servers working T2 might actually just fucking die in a month. People are gonna buy it cautiously because of the first one, get in, see MP isn't even working and just immediately refund it. And even if it IS working they'll see all these dead fucking playlists and quit.
